Oh, and the current plan for this year is to ride the GS and tent camp it. Maybe take an extra day on the way back to make it two legs. I can ride the 475 miles in a day, but I make a lot better time on the bike than I do in the RV. One drives 55-60 the other 80-85. :ricky

Glad you're going Chris, I'll be there with my 690 (except I might be staying in the cabins......:evil)

GREAT info! Thanks! We're still deciding if we're going to bring the big girl or if I'll roll down in the Jeep with the little bike solo.

I know there is a huge amount of exploring to do in the area, so I'm leaning towards just coming solo as a recon run and then do a separate trip with the family another time- not like we're very far away...

I gotta see what Jim feels like doing. Could haul the husky out, my preference, or just ride the GS. Either way, traveling light(er) this year. :-) Sher has to work anyway, so I'm on my own for this one.

None of the trails are that tough, so I could cover a lot of ground on the GS. Or go find some more gnarly stuff on the dualsport. It's a great area - Geomoto puts on a nice event for a very reasonable cost. Beautiful country. I think I could move to Kanab real easy. :clap

Hope I am registered. I signed up for the chimpanzee registration but I don't know if it went through. What is supposed to happen after you fill out the paypal reg. and then hit "reserve my seat?" I would like to get this event registration completed.

    I received a PayPal receipt. I assumed that's all I would get.

    Hello Everyone,

I hope to have the website updated with an itinerary next week. Technical difficulties at the moment. I should be able to send every one registered an email as well.
After registering you should have automatically received a confirmation from my website, however it doesn't seem to have worked 100 percent. Feel free to email me at jessekimball@gmail.com if you have questions in the mean time.
I look forward to meeting everyone!

Can anyone point me to some trail info for this area? Trying to do a little research in advance.

I'd like to come down and ride for this event but wont know my exact work schedule until early that week.

Can I last minute show up or is this a reservations only deal? and what if I could only make the Friday/Saturday parts of the ride?
Perhaps if registrations are still open right now, i can register but not go if work doesn't allow.

Any suggestions form other who have ridden this rally before?

Finally got registered! Again, I'll be little bike style, so aside from being a crappy rider, should be ready for anything.

Along those lines, I may have missed, but is there a repository of .gpx files or does someone care to share?

I seriously need this right now, so I'm very excited.

Tried to register today, having trouble with the website. Don't think it went through.

Anyone else have an issue registering for the Chipamzee option ( with camping ) ?
