I just got a phone call from my mechanic, I dropped the wheels in so he could change over the tyres...

the numpty forgot to look at the direction of the front tyre and there is no marking on the rim or discs

he said that the discs are off centred so they can on fit one way (I was unaware of this)

    anybody have any ideas?

the bike it at home hanging from the roof so I would rather sort it out without 2 taking 2 trips

I just bought mine and have not looked it over that well but is there a mark anywhere on the hub with an arrow?

This WOULD be the day I chose to ride the ZZR to work rather than the XC, else I'd pop out to the parking lot and figure it out for you.

800xc - as you're sitting on bike (facing forward of course) "JKExcel....." stamped into outer rim is on the right & 'DOT' (in raised letters) on hub on left side. Didnt see any arrows.

The place where the ABS ring would go is on the left. :deal (kidding- the ABS ring is held on by the brake rotor bolts)

Concur- the wheel info is stamped into the right side of the wheel.

    Thanks guys....

I got the mechanic to put it on hoping he would guess right and he didn't :cry

No stress, he is going to swap it over for nicks

In the future to avoid confusion, you could put a small directional arrow on the disk carrier with a paint pen. That's what I have done, seems to hold up well enough.

I always shove a piece of cardboard between the spokes with a directional arrow on it, :lol3 the shop always gives me dirty looks, :huh and the tire is always put on correctly. :deal

hehehe, we ended up lightly punching a small arrow on the disc carrier... which was perfect for me last week when I went changed over the front tyre and forgot to look at the tyre before i removed it..

another trick I have done it draw and arrow on the disc with a permanent marker, this comes off as soon as toy apply the brakes the fiat time
