Smack Dab in the middle of my turf. Used to ride to the parking area on the south side of this bridge on my bicycle when I was in my Tweens. Then we would take the trail down under the bridge and partake in some ...uh...smoking. Yeah that's it! Several people have leapt to their deaths from this bridge!

Thanks, next time I will try the chicken if they have it. I met another rider that was also camping. He told me the restaurants used to be run by locals, but now they are run by food service contractors.

I forgot the bad/embarrassing part of day 2. I was mounting up after taking a break at one of the over looks. I got my leg caught on my duffle bag and ended up pulling the bike over... I got out of the way but I bend the bolt on the left highway peg and scatched the side bag. The parking lot was sloped and that combined with the load=bike down..lol... Anyway I regrouped and continued south.

Once I made it to Cherokee NC (the end of the BRP), I took the Cherohala Skyway over to Tellico Plains TN and spent the night in a cabin at the Cherohola Motorcycle Resort. Very nice place with friendly people running it.

Well that's about it. The trip was 5 days,1658 miles and cost me about $160 not counting food.
