And no Dukes of Hazzard museum would be complete without Boss Hog.

Well I think that is about it for my pics from the Fall ride. With the 4th of July bike trip and the Jeep trip I did the BRP 3 times this year.
Lots of people ask me why I am always going "down there"... It is just one of those places I enjoy...love riding the road no stop signs for 469 miles or commercial vehicles.. beautiful scenery..Really for me there isn't much not to like.

same for me, for hard road riding there is nothing better than the parkway and surounding roads.

This year, as I was finishing up and heading for home, I contemplated if it would be possible to ride it down and back twice in the same week :)

you can do the entire thing in 12 hours not breaking the posted limit, so I guess a guy could do it 2 times down and back in 4 days, that would get it out of your system for a few weeks.

For me the atraction of it is the history and things along the parkway to stop and see, this last trip for me 3 weeks ago was not slow enough, I was pressed for time and I hate that while on the parkway.

there are so many short side trips that I love to see that I had to just pass buy.

I agree. I enjoyed our Jeep camping trip this summer because I got to stop and hike to more places.

I gave my tent a good dose of waterproofing so it is ready to go for the next trip.
