+2 on the G-IT. I had one on my SE and just put one on the Adventure. Adventure spec.com has them and I bet they would deliver well before Black Dog or Touratech. Mine showed up in two days from the UK to Arizona with no extra shipping. Also the price was much less then the other plates out there.

BlackDog, I prefer the finish on the plate. They are also quick to deliver.:clap

Hi, I ordered it directly from Adventure Spec online:

    http://www.adventure-spec.com/

This is the second time I have ordered stuff from them and the service has been good both times. I'm not affiliated with them, just a satisfied customer.

Custom CF/kevlar rallye styled part. Protects the bottom of the tanks in offs, keeps crap of the low header and most importantly off my boots... :deal Yes I am associated with the manufacturer :freaky

How about a pic? It's not me in the picture, because I'm the one taking the pic, but I had just traveled the same line. The condition of this trail was similar to the pic for what seemed like a couple of miles. The pic is of us coming down; I beat the snot out of the bottom of my bike relentlessly going up and coming down. I guess that's what I get for being a fat bastard!

And please don't get me wrong, I think the Weld86 plate is a great piece of equipment. I will definitely buy another one without hesitation.

Edit for additional info: I didn't realize until months later that I had bent the plate. I didn't notice the plate springing when I removed it for maintenance, but when I tried to put it back on, the holes didn't line up. I contacted Charlie and he told me to send it back to him and he would fix it, but I figured out how to do it myself. Amazing what you can do with a pipe wrench! Anyway, please hear me when I say that the plate suffered from user abuse, not faulty equipment!!!!!

Another plug for the Weld 86 Plate. Mine just arrived and I have to say the craftsmanship that went into this plate is amazing.

The welds are something that Charlie must smile as each one leaves his hands and off to a customer who will proudly beat the tar out of.

Very fast to ship and flawless quality.

Seems like y'all could get to Starbucks just fine with the stock one lol. Seriously I've been beating my bike up for a few years now with the stocker and its held up just fine. I don't see the need to drop a few hundred bucks on an aftermarket one just yet.

Agreed about the Weld. I had to choose between the two,(weld and BDCW) and I almost didn't buy the Weld-seemed "home-brewed" on the website. But I took a chance and it arrived during a product shoot for another client of mine.

So I played a bit with it. Very nice.
