Great pics Bill. Thanks for adding.:thumb

Yep, those are your plastics. I needed a set to for some test fitting so I grabbed them. These looked better than my shiny set. One needed some soldering iron welding done, but it worked. I'll have the bike setup this weekend for the race so they will live for one more weekend before they head off to the prototype shop.

    GBC Dirt Shark.

Maybe this link will last longer?

    The side wall says "Sakura"

Seems like stores keep dropping or renaming this tire.

I continue to use this front tire for aggressive riding. When I first tried it they were about $35. Now I see they are around $50. Still a good deal. Just keep it aired up. I run it around 30psi +, no worries.

Friday morning, 9am, myself and 8 other riders headed out on a 1200+ mile loop of Wisconsin in 4 days. NO TRUCKs, TRAILERS or SUPPORT CREW. A true Dual sport ride. Freeway to ATV trails, Pavement to sugar sand and some water crossing thrown in for good fun.

Mostly KTM's but we allowed a few BMW's and a Husky along too, just to show them how well the "other" brand really works.

We had great weather. Sunny, blue skies and temps from 55-80. Couldn't be any better for riding in WI this time of year. Much better than last years fall ride when we had 4 days of 45 and rain. Wonderful group of riders from new to DS riding to seasoned vets. We had a great time enjoying some of Wisconsin's finest dirt.

Thanks to the riders that put up with me for the long weekend. You're all great riders and real troopers.

This wasn't an easy ride and almost every day we were on the bikes for 10-12hrs.

I arrived back home tonight around 7pm, and ready to call it a day.
Once I unload the bike, I'll get some pics up. We'll be working on getting all the groups pics and a report to follow. Should be a good one.:ricky

I will be on the road May 29th- June 14th. Road trip to San Diego. Starting w/ the trip to Tulsa for the Highland Motorcycle Open House, ending up at Road America for some 950 supermoto racing. I have a spot tracker link on my home page. Follow along as I travel across the county on the KTM 950 ADV. 6,000 mile loop expected.

Maybe spot some LC8 riders along the way.:ricky
If you see me, send an email, I won't be on here to check PM's very often.

Headed to the Local Hill climb on sun. First time for me on the 950, only my second time trying it ever.

    150 ft the first run.

Over the Top my second. My Time up was 20.5 sec. Fastest bike was about 8.5 sec. I have to work on that.:lol3

Lots of great pic posted by other ADVriders that showed up too.

Long time ago I did this mod. A little update:

2 years and 40,000+ miles later it is still working great. No issues w/ the switches failing or water getting in. I use it all the time.:thumb

    Almost 72,000 miles. :ricky

This last Sunday I had the chance to run it again on a local racers Dyno.

It made 86 RWHP. Or about 95hp at the crank, very close to what KTM spec-ed it out when new. Nearly the same as it did 40,000 miles ago when I installed dual FMF pipes. Now it has 2-1 and a Remus Titanium silencer. I was very happy to see it holding up so well.
