I don't have an adventure model, but I think your stator is down low and up front. I am sorry if it's difficult to communicate over the internet like this but didn't you disconnect the old regulator? So wouldn't you just plug the new one into where you disconnected the old one? Yes, it's a brown connector (plug) with three yellow wires coming from the stator housing. If you ordered the correct regulator, it should be a simple switch out for you.

I'm looking for my regulator plug too, I have a 2006 950 SM and the wire leads under the tank so i'm just going to assume i have to take my tank off in order to access it! Hope to hear from you soon Colorado Uli.

I have a 950SE that had troubles with it charging capabilities. I replace my rectifier by a Rick's Motorsport and it worked an hour. I then replace my stator and Battery and got a replacement from Rick. Unfortunately the replacement rectifier comes with a crappy wire weld that i need to redo, only half of the red wire was welded. Moreover that rectifier was dead on arrival, we test it on a perfectly good working 950Adv. Not really impress with Rick's products. I have ordered an OEM and expect it to work fine when relocated on airbox.

I was happy with this guy and his rectifier. I liked his "how to" videos and he was very helpful over the phone with all my noob electrical questions. The Mosfet didn't fit with the relocation bracket I bought, so I put it in the original place. It ran considerably cooler than the OEM rectifier, so I'm not as worried about the heat near the pipe. Ebay has lots of choices but most are Chinese garbage. Good luck.

Sorry for the stupid question, what's the difference between the kit with the fuse and the one with the circuit breaker ? Any pros or cons for either ? Which one is best for the SE ?

P.S: I'll be relocating my R/R soon and looking into upgrading it at the same time.
