I just ordered the CPR Rottweiler from KTM Twins and need to know what jets to use. I made the mistake of ordering it online without researching it first.
Edit: I cancelled the order and just went with CJ designs. So, I got the jet kit with the CPR and Stacks as a package. Now that's what I'm talking about.

You are a step ahead of me but on the same path. I just got my CPR filter a couple of days ago and will be tearing into the se again on Saturday most likely. FMF pipes to come shortly there after with related jets if needed. Keep me posted on your efforts and I'll do likewise.
today I finally ponied up and purchased a set of Akras After riding with some 990 Adventures last weekend with uncooked Akras I had to pull the trigger. Soooo looking forward to getting 'em on.
BEST Sounding Silencers Made IMHO.

Quality, Fit & Finish are worth the extra $$
I'd love to see a dyno comparison between akra & fmf.
My bike & a buddies SE's have same mods, same gearing, jetting etc (I did both bikes)
We weigh the same & my akra bike pulls his fmf's pretty good at roll on in any gear
We swapped bikes & same difference with my bike pulling away

07'SE which has been running fine just quit. Dead. No electrics at all. Main fuses look good. Would this be the mysterious ignition thing I've read about? Wiggling it did nothing so far. Anything in particular to check when I get home from work?
Shorai or a "weight savings" battery ??
Loose battery cable at either end ??
Not a good time to be broke down

Standard battery, cables tight. I'll be breaking out the multimeter when I get home.......
FMF twins w/o the screens sound awesome. FMF's look to be the smallest too. I can't wait to hear what the Rottweiller sounds like,
Check also wires coming from ignition lock. I had problems with connector behind front mask.
I can't confirm the sound yet, but I HAD to go with a US Forest Service approved set of pipes for my ride. Tis the way in CO and I have heard others that sounded great on on non-se bikes. Aside from the approval I only care about the weight and performance for the most part.
No complaints on the sound of the fmf titanium q with 2-1 on my se.
Looks like it was the ignition fuse. Popped a second one to test, lifted the block out and it cleared. No visible damage or short contact. Reassembled and it seems to be fine....... It will now be my first check and I'll be sure to stash a few spares handy.
You guys that take your tanks off and on a lot, are you using any kind of quick disconnects for the fuel lines?
Also, are any quick disconnects needed or advantageous with a Safari tank. I hate to spend $800.00 on a gas tank, but I think the Safari is the way to go. With the Rally tank you're still out $700.00.
i done as "powercell" done to his tank sooooooooooo easy now to remove.
i bought my disconnects from ebay
i had a spare tap/petcock to give my mate for a template so he could machine up a pair of stainless (or billet) base plates with the O-ring sealing groove & a female fitting threaded - so the quick disconnect can screw in.
NOTE: when you disconnect them lube the O-rings so they connect easier & not pinch & brake - fuel/chemical rated O-rings are easy to find if you snap/pinch one.

I spoke too soon. Died on the way to work today in rush hour traffic at speed......... unpleasant.
My ignition fuse it blowing. Traced it out to the plug that the headlight area for now.... I'll look into it more when I get time.
As for the quick release fuel, I did the powercell thing too. Quick couplings . net had the best prices I could find. Made the flanges on my buddies mill and lathe. The only change I made was to add a 90 on the left lobe so it didn't stick down so far......
I took mine off twice yesterday working on the carbs..I also have the Safari tank.
Its not a big deal once you get the hang of it.The OEM set up is fine,The hoses off the tank valves are pretty quick to disconnect,so is the quick connect to the carbs.The fuel pump will slide off the bracket.3 electrical plugs behind the horn cover and you're good to go..
The hardes part seems to be to reinstall the tank and keep the rubber buffers in place...i contact cemented mine and its been through atleast 8-10 removals.
Just a quick thought on the Safari..since i have itand use it. It gives you 5 hours of riding..roughly..Do your friends have Safaries as well? "cause if not,you will have to stop anyway..Can you ride 5 hours straight without stopping?..'cause if not,you'll have to stop anyway..
I probably don't "have to have" a Safari, but I would like to go out west at some point, and I Think it'd be a requirement for that.
Hey Bigbore - if you haven't seen it already check out Ken's (PowerCell) thread on the new larger tank he is making for the SE. Smaller than than the Safari but bigger than stock: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=820139 If you just want max range the safari is prolly your ticket but if you want the combo of range and a bit more maneuverability Ken's approach looks golden...and he's making quick disconnects along with Chris from CPR. Granted you can get them elsewhere or craft your own but these guys look to do solid work and Ken rides an SE himself.
