You d00ds are derailing this thread...
May the fooker that stole Buzz's bike eat shit and die!
Is that the FF everyones looking for? Or maybe the FF that stole the KDX.
If he stole Buzz's KDX, I'll eat a hounds tooth hat.
If I find the guy that stole my KDX I'm going to fuck his mom
... in the ass, without lube!
That may not go well.... What if the guy that stole the bike is like 60 and his moms like 90+......
Then I'll fuck his sister, daughter, or dad... I'm not picky when it comes to hate!
How ya been Mang?
Buzz wouldn't care
Long time no see, Jodie! You gonna make it down to TreeMan's shindig in March? Sneads ain't far from Dothan, ya know...
Didn't find your bike, but you'll be happy to know that the seat from your old bikealong with the KDX it's attached tois singing like a whippoorwill these days. It was finally warm enough to go out and play with the jetting today. Dropped the pilot two sizes, the main one size, fiddled with the air screw and result. It's got a nice kick right off idle and pulls strong all the way up. What a difference.
Good because Buzz promised me I could ride it. Since i've never ridden a motorcycle before, this should be fun!
Inept told me once that it's a great learner bike because "It'll learn ya"
I knew it was set up a little fat, and with the fresh top end I was ok with that. Now that you got it screaming we'll need some video
As I recall, yer KTM 200 also got nicknamed the "Learner Bike" at SweatFest II
Either way, the KDX has got just enough power to get ya in a lotta trouble and hurt ya, really bad...although I still say yer 220 that got ripped off was the most user-friendly sweetheart of a dirtbike I've ever ridden. In my life. It was magic.
I was planning on buying that bike
Another will turn up
Local FF is 'sposed to get back with me on a 250EXC about his paperwork. Time'll tell
Thing is it's usable power that comes on in a predictable manner. It doesn't rip your arms off, it just kind of urges you to gas it because you'll have plenty of time to slow down for that (circular) corner coming up and you need to keep the front end light over those rocks anyway, right?
FWIW I set it up with a trials bike type power delivery in mind and did not follow the typical KDX tuning wisdom.
Its not a race bike, but I thought it worked perfect for a play bike.
Indeed it did work perfect...I like strong low-end grunt, and am willing to give up high-RPM peak HP to get it; in fact, the older I get, the more I dislike revving the berries out of a motor, I'd rather be able to short-shift and still maintain a semblance of acceleration. You set that motor up just the way I like 'em
