First 1ooo miles
So far this report sucks? PS nice bike!
So it begins. After a quick break-in to a few of the local haunts with some friends that I enjoy to ride with on a regular basis. I find myself wanting, fantasizing, obsessing over an adventure ride of a longer nature.
The guys that I drank & smoked my way through school with are having the annual fishing trip in the eastern sierras. I'm IN!, but I'm not taking a pole.
So we sit around the camp fire and catch up......some are married, some are divorced, some buying houses, some losing houses, some kids in college, some kids in prison...you know life. Sometimes you just feel blessed hearing the stories of others. Anyway tomorrow they will be on a boat and I will be on a bike.
To the west the mountains are beautiful, steep and the snow is low.
I want to ride my new bike not wrestle it so I head for the other side of the 395.
,but first a little hillclimbing
The big girl can climb!
The heavy bike will find traction, you just have to stay on!
Now this is riding! It's a beautiful place to be and I have 3 more days.
We got to go big biking soon!
I'm down with that Luis! Before it gets HOT!
Nice, do I smell a BB ride??
i'm impressed that finally you started posting pics and has a smug account.....
sorry, can't help....but this report is shaping up well....
Big gals rule!
Look forward to riding w/ you someday.
God that bike looks good, can I get 10 minutes with her in private?
The misses keeps mentioning, "when are you going to sell that other motorcycle?"
Other, I was thinking about adding one more....
BIG BIKE RIDE...... ....John...mine will be ready in 2 weeks....Toast...you missed your chance to sell...but now big bikes are back....
They never left...
I just had to explain that 525 EXC in the garage too! That makes 4. A nice round number I think.
Wives aren't good at math, must be the problem... :huh
Oops! Sorry for the hijack SCaL.
I'm in for big bike rides too.
Mike, you know as I was trying to turn that beast around and realized it was going down, two thoughts raced through my head..........1) I wish I'd bought that bracket that isolates the mirror from the front brake master cyclinder and 2) this is going to make Mike winch and laugh all at once.
I like the new ride John! Great pics, I love the eastern sierra, hope to ride it again soon
