Andy Simons here. Located in Trenton, SC (between North Augusta and Edgefield. Highly qualified to be either a dumb AARSE or an AARSEhole. :D
Current bike is a 2005 F650 Dakar. I am too old for single track but I don't mind riding a few hundred miles to explore woods roads.

Welcome aboard you ole AARSE, glad to have Trenton represented! And don't feel bad about not doing single track... all I'm looking for are fire roads, dirt roads and the occassional fire break.... nuttin' too tough, just out in the country away from pavement, cages, and road signs...LOL!:freaky

I met and rode with Truckin Thumper this past weekend. He was sporting a new helmet cam setup and was taking some film shots of all the riders on Sunday's Telico Plains ADV ride. We were all excited to get back to the store and watch ourselves wallow around in the gravel. You will have to ask him how the movies turned out. I have picked at him enough already. :D

    Canoli,

Congrats on the new bike! Glad to see you got what you wanted and a great deal as well. Would say keep the shiney side up but that would spoil her, as she is a dual sport!

Looks like the tread is going good so far. Just a heads up, myself, and a couple buddies are tentatively planning on camping at T.W.O. next Friday, August 8th.

No doubt, with them mountings and stuff.... but we're just getting organized....give us a little time to share some details....

Y'all will be gettin' a woodie just to come down for some strange, once we get it all figgerred out...:huh

Then further south.....there's still swamp, marsh, sugar sand, peat bogs, "blue gumbo clay," all kinds of stuff, with our red clay and sand rat dead square in the middle. GA is a helluva place once you stop and think about it.... we just need agents all over scoping this stuff out, so's we can try sumpin' different ever now and again!

And I ain't never been told i couldn't go "pooh!" LOL!

I have been lurking for a couple of years but have been happy to just keep my mouth shut and just read the posts. My interest has definitely been stirred by the possibility of becoming an ARRSE. Maybe I can make Stillwater some Tuesday.

Could not help but jump in and give a thumbs up for the crowd at Augusta KTM, Suzuki, Kawasaki. I have been very happy with all aspects of doing business with them for the last 10 years. The owner Lee Stephens is a veteran offroad ace in SE&TRA and the new Manager is Joey Hopkins (multi times SE&TRA Enduro Champ). These guys are not over bearing sales types and they really know their stuff. They don't keep a lot of inventory, but always get anything that I need in a timely fashion.

I have not owned it very long. I just returned from a trip to the Crested Butte, Colorado area. It was great on the gravel and dirt roads, but when the passes got steep and rocky, it got heavy in a hurry. Paved roads are a delight. Looking forward to learning more about the capabilites both on and off road.
