Hopefully we'll be there next week!
Great report Greg! I enjoyed it. How come Merc's bikes dont break
down when he rides with you?
Take warm clothing. It was a little chilly esp at night.
Thanx for the tip! BTW, does the campground take reservations?
A timely report...I'm headed there next week as well.
What is it about all the hot Canadian border guard chickies??
Very cool trip....
Greg's "stay around home bro on the left coast"
Nice pics and story, guys!! So, you basically had a food trip and threw in some riding?
The clown (EC) and I are heading up next week. Can't wait!!
Nice report. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Oh man, does THIS sound familiar. We did the exact same thing last week, except we were one road further from the water than you. After about 10 miles of steadily degrading gravel road, we dead-ended before the park at a bridge that was out, and the construction workers there told us that we wouldn't be able to ride through the park anyway.
And then that night we stayed at the exact same campground as you had.
Small world. You didn't happen to have the Donair Poutine for dinner at Pats in Pugwash?
Nice trip Greg. Hoping someday I can get back there for NS. Good thing you got those tents up before it got "too dark".
That no beer left in town shot almost had me piss my pants. Miss you too Kev
Ride safe buddy
We never made reservations. I generally don't like making reservations on a bike trip - too many things can happen. That would have also inferred some form of preparation and planning which simply... didn't exist...
The only night we were a bit worried was the final night but we were away from touristy places then. As it turned out, there were tons of campsites in the area. Greg's trusty GPS helped us out in this regard.
Hey Greg's brother on the left coast
Nice new bike BTW
isn't that what you're meant to do
Camping or hoteling ? If hoteling....it 'aint cheap.
Come to think of it...nothings cheap in Canada...eh ?
naw, we ended up having panini and seafood chowder at the Hidden Jewel Cafe. Pretty tasty!
what we tried to do .. the yellow line.
maybe on the XR-L
That was a great campground - second only to Meat Cove on the trip. We had dinner in some little cafe that was just about to close and the food reflected this
I had the pleasure of some Poutine later on in the trip.
Ask Greg about WHY we didn't have any beer (we did have a small bottle of wine which went down very well...)
here ya go home slice
we took this pic of Meat Cove Tuesday 8/21.....what a great ride
