when is that?
dude, i think you say that EVERY year.....
it happens the day after T-giving (Friday and Saturday). it's a fucking BLAST!!! and there are a lot of racers that go (even though it's a dual sport ride). but its race against the clock. 450 miles in 2 days!!!!
NOW I know why ill never do B2V..... its on Quyens birthday every year!
maybe talk her into celebrating it in Las Vegas!!!!!
yeha good luck with that....
hopefully if things go well in court in a few weeks, the 650R will get a 525 fork.... and perhaps a new rear shock.....
wouldnt THAT be sweet...
well the season is over. Im really curious to see how I stack up after everything is tallied.
I probably only did about half as many races as I did last year...but I can see a massive difference in my riding. Im not sure how it happened, but somewhere along the line I completely forgot about the whole "just finish" mantra. Im not saying that Im fast now or anything but I think that my progress toward being faster is more linear than anticipated.
I have a lot of toughening up to do as far as riding goes. I just need to ride more and unfortunately I just dont have the time or money to ride much between races. I need to find a way to have my ass kicked in a Bikey way between races...suggestions??
Your expectations for yourself have risen. It's not about surviving now, it's about beating people.
Then ill have to go all Mad Max on people and starting riding with a chain or something.
the difference was the KTM
The season isn't over. There is still one Enduro left, Riders Helping Riders on the 20th
ohh its over.....heh
ill have to try another enduro sometime but i have to really learn some patience.
.....patience is NOT my strong suit.
This time you ain't be a noob anymore break a leg!..............oooooooooooopppppppppppppppppppsssss!
Mountain biking. That is my favorite training method. Alot of the skills transfere over to the MC and you build strength and stamina. Oh! It's fun too!
I have one of those now that I need to get more time on. A decent bike too - Giant Reign. Id love to start racing that..... ive been looking into it....
Just cruised over and read a bunch of your posts in this thread. It seems we both started
Very similarly. My first offroad trip was on a 429lb Buell Ulysses. The next bike was an xr600r I bought to ride in colorado where I keep it.....I also got a xr650l to ride at home in Fl at the same time. I took the xr650l offroad on all kinds of trails
And thought it was a dirtbike until I rented some real light powerful race bikes at
A resort in Georgia last year. I also ran around a harescramble track during a fun- run last year on the xr650l.... It overheated and I had to stop a bunch of times. ( pinging) the air cooled pig just didn't like going slow in the woods.
I sold it and got an 05 Yammie 250f I found a great deal on. Now I'm racing for real like yourself.
I'll be checking this thread in the future..... It seems that I'm following directly in your path!
My race season is just starting here in Flatistan. Be good!
glad to hear another poor soul is interested in slowly destroying themselves...
I just finished scanning your interesting thread, and glad to see you've made progress!
Have you heard if there's gonna be a Bradshaw Bomb Run this year? If so I'll see'ya there!
not sure about the bomb run... that's a LONG drive for me. Well... for anyone in socal which is a bummer because it is SO much fun out there.
Im fixin to do another video here. Just found out my number is going to be bumped to 76! So next season Ill be V76!! not a bad jump from V159
Ok its been awhile..... time for a new video?
I raced my second GP of all time this weekend and it went pretty well.....
About bloody time! :ddog
