Do you say KI.lo.me.ter or ki.LOM.e.ter ?
And where are you from?
I doubt you'll get any consesus.
There was an attempt in Canada to go metric but due the influence of our southern neighbours (our biggest trading partner) who refuse to do so the attempt turned into a mess. But along with that there was an attempt to get people to say KILO meter instead of kiLOmeter. Its a meter and there is a KILO of them. or centi ..... etc etc
The saying it turned into a mess too along with the spelling which is quite often "metre" wtf!!!
At least in the Netherlands. The kiLOmeter is rather an Angel-Saxon pronunciation.
K's or Klicks, but usually I just say 'miles'!
Klom it rrs.
But I was dragged up, so don't take my pronunciation as anything but slang
In Italy is "Chilometri" (pronounce: Kee-Lò-meh-tree)
so to me it's ki.LOM.e.ter...
