How far will 2 gallons take you on one of those?

    Wow.

    244lbs and 67hp for the 500 enduro!

222lbs for the 700? How is that even possible?

+1, I'd like to see somebody put that thing on a scale.

A CRF150F weighs 236 lbs! Could a 700cc two stroke really be lighter?

Are these going to be street legal in the USA?

They look like a Honda XR/CR. If it didnt say Maico down the side I would be looking for the Honda logo.

I would love to go ride in that desert where they took the video !

Wow, incredible achievement. I have a KDX 200 2-stroke, it will be the last 2 stroke I'll ever own, I'm done with mixing gas, but for the hardcore riders out there with money to blow these would be a lot of fun, but are these very practical for most people today?

I can see the db levels being a serious problem in all but desert environments. I love the smell but the ping/scream of a 2 stroke is one of the most obnoxious things you can hear.

    No way.
My '94 KTM 440 EXC was ~62 hp, and would go 65-70 miles on 3.43 gallons.
Ridden hard it wouldn't get 20mpg.

ATK's been doing it for a few years now, since around 2004 with the 700cc Intimidator.

I would bet a 500 cc two stroke would much closer to 40 if that.
I have a 200 cc two stroke that only goes 60 miles on 2.5 gallons of gas.

Also this is a UK street version not an USA version and the 700 is MX only.
Also it is only for the 500 cc and smaller.
    Nothing is as it seems.

    2-stroke is not a thumper.

Maybe by some contorted and artificial definition - but the definition of a "thumper" in the motorcycle world is a single cylinder motorcycle with no differentiation for 2 v. 4 stroke.

No, it can't. A Maico 700 owner over on Thumpertalk weighed his and it came in at 270lbs.

My old 89 CR500 gets about 20mpg in the boonies. I'd expect at least 25 on the street. The 2 gal stocker was good for almost half a days ride. It was the "almost" part I didn't like. That's why I put a 3.6 gal IMS on top.

    2 strokes, what a rush!!

Uhmmm what's so amazing? must be missing it, what a 700cc that makes 79 horsepower???! While a 600cc snowmobile engine makes a 125, I guess that would be biblical then.

Does Touratech make panniers for that thing?

I'll bet that it would make a KLR feel comfortable after a few hours...
