    For the locals mainly......

Crossfire, a military gear-type of store, behind BCF and underneath the Sportsmans Warehouse store in Fyshwick, has some cheap goodies at the moment.

Several bins of prototype stuff they made for defence, waterbottle carriers, and other holster-size stuff (including actual holsters and magazine holders too), the sort of thing you might throw a pair over as a tank saddlebag setup, $5 each. Drink bladder tubes with mouthpieces/bitevalves, $5 each (I got one given to me eh).

Also, some unobtanium genuine Goretex patches, to repair rips in the field in Goretex, $5 each also.

Some other doodads, you'll have to look for yourself.

Lots of expensive shit too, so don't whine to me about it.

The ankle is bloody sore, and twice the size it is normally, can't get a boot on so rode home nearly 2000k with a bloody sneaker on me left foot. Will go and get an xray tomorrow, wasn't game to do it out there in case they wanted to plaster it and "fly me out".

Hey Benz! Good to hear you made it home solo. Hope that foot is just soft tissue damage. Let me know if you change your mind about the backback - I will replace it if you want!

I just got home now. My 950 has now officially crossed the 80 000 km line, and going strong - it looks like those pre-trip issues were just false alarms. Dunno if fati is back yet though?

'Twas great meeting you all, will have to go on a ride next time I escape Mexico. :evil

Don't worry about the backpack, we've come up with a better design for the chest strap and my dear wife will make it up for me. Really nice to meet you too, catch up with you soon.

G'day Graham, that's a mighty effort 2000k with a crook ankle like that, smart thinking on your part about getting it checked out - re plaster etc., :rofl

Hey guys, a couple of us are riding from Canberra to Shoalhaven (through Morton National Park) on the June long weekend and i'm trying to figure out the best route.

Sticking to Braidwood Road looks a bit boring on the map, however we'll be pushed for time with it being mid-winter, so we're looking for some slightly more interesting fire trails that will also get us to the coast in good time!

    Welcoming all recommendations!

    Thanks!
