Quite possibly. Reminds me of the Robby Gordon video from 2012 or 2011 where they showed his throttle graph and the 80% of the time he had his foot on the floor. Stunning WOT time. Chavo has high praises for the factory Showa suspension telling me that he was still exploring the limits as it is not bottoming where his previous bike would have. If Coma and Goncalves, on proven bike that they are intimately familiar with, can have a bit more confidence at how something will be absorbed at speed, obviously they won't slow as much as Chavo or someone might when still discovering that edge.

PAU arrives to the scene just behind Rodrigues and Israel after their mishap. He routinely slows down to check'em out before going on.

Race theory - top 5 starters finish together tomorrow - Sam then has 3.58 on Speedy and 3.17 on Coma.

Last day, top 5 starters finish together, speedy takes 3 mins off Sam and Coma 2 - Sam finishes 58 sec in front of Speedy and 1.17 in front of Coma - or thereabouts.

Well, so much for the theory, now let's see what the next 2 days actually brings :clap:clap

    The stress is too much!

Best option, Helder finishes with them also, wins the stage and leads off on the final leg:clap:clap:clap

Apart from the things you don't talk about, the worst case will be to win the stage but not take the 2 & 3 mins of Coma and Speedy - but in these dunes that would be a low % chance :clap:clap

Had to think about that for a minute but, yes, starting in front with no "cushion" would make it tough.

I'm guessing that CP1 is either at the crossing under E15 or at the westernmost point of the track.

    Edit: It was the crossing.

It's looking good Sam has caught them all at PC 1 - bloody unbelievable:clap:clap

Helder is closing and looks like he could take the stage win - the perfect storm ? :clap:clap

Sam will consolidate now and just ride at the front with them, he doesn't need to take it on, but they do.

If Helder can take the stage and lead off tomorrow that's better for Sam as he will be able to chase Helder to keep his time advantage.:clap:clap

We know he can do it, as we always have :clap:clap

Some sort of recording glitch, I think. His tracker is 10mi or so west and moving.

Edit: Well, it was moving - last updated over 10min ago.

?? CP2 on the track leg where it parallels E15 ??
Probably about time for refueling but I don't see anything that looks like vehicles there.
