Too busy making money to pay me to keep their bikes going? IDK. :D Some are on other forums like Wildguzzi or the Loopframe Guzzi Yahoo Group. Most just don't spend much time online.

I have a 71 ambo that had the usual flakey chrome cylinders. I replaced the cylinders and had the heads done. Pretty much finshed now so no project thread. Just didn't want to be left out of the club.:D

    What you on about Willis!:D

of course it's a project, I can tell that by the amount of money it is costing!:deal:eek1 compared to the amount of time I am riding it:huh

Just bought head gaskets, base gaskets, and 12 o-rings.. £45 that is $70 can you believe the o-rings were $1.56 each:eek1:eek1:eek1

Yes a right little bunch of masochists ( correct spelling??) we've got going here. Can't wait for mine to arrive. Knowing my luck the 'Dusseldorf Express', on which mines is currently a steerage passenger, will be sunk by an escapee U- boat mid Atlantic.

    Me!

I bought a 70 Ambo about a year ago, it was totally disassembled. A bare frame and several boxes of parts. The PO had started the restoration but passed away and the thing sat for several years. I have now started the process in earnest. The transmission has been re assembled, I have started the engine assembly, and the frame is at the powder coaters. I'ts a big jigsaw puzzle, the big part is finding out the stuff I DON'T have. I plan to have it running this summer!

Both my loops (72 Eldo, 74 Cali) are on-going projects. Unlike some of you brave people who go for full enchilada, I haven't had the nerve to do a complete restoration - I just fix whatever is going wrong, with any luck before it fails. Usually I'm not successful, which makes for some interesting times on the road, but being a masochist, I like it that way.

I have one that is.. well.. not even to a state i'd call a project yet. We call him "rusty" and has the dubious distinction of being the "brownest white motorcycle ever seen by Jason".

Purchased right where it landed! Owner must have stuck a "For Sale" sign on it and limped away.

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:roflGood one guys unless I'm out woods riding I don't park in the trees, and yes I did limp away AND bought the sad wreckage back from the insurance to restore.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl I'll post after pictures soon I'm just waiting on my seat and spots and she's ridable. I may post the details in faceplant, I didn't do it here because I din't want to hijack the thread with a long story.
