cool, our own version of long way round...
I'm gonna make a track to follow...
Very generous of you. Let me know if something changes. I'm 99% sure I'm going and really looking forward to it! Thanks :)
Just please, don't any of you guys go soft and want to tell your story.
Don't worry. We don't tell those stories.
Am I late to the party? .... This looks like a fun event. I met Troy and HappyCRNA this past spring. They told me all about the Tomfoolery. Any chance I can join the fray? Is loop D still the designated area of insanity? Look forward to meeting some more ADV LBL riders.
I know im not on the list but its probably because my avatar is so appealing. Count me in. Shrader and Ronnie too. Super Dan may also make it. And Peterson maybe too. I tried to change my avatar but i couldnt find a double bubble. Anyways.... see ya soon!
Join us! Loop D is where many of us have reserved spots. If there aren't any sites left, you can share with someone (they still charge you, though).
OK, I'm In. I'll be there Thurs. PM ready to ride on Friday. I found a spot in loop D, look forward to meeting you all.
Yea jerry and his crew!
And of course everyone else too
Double bubble as in hubba bubba? Lol.
Too late would be 11/13 so yeah you are in like flynn...
Hey while on the topic of riding don't forget ribfest is coming and for those who don't know here is a link if it works, if not google Nashville bmw club ribfest.
What are you riding?
I will bring the burner set up pots and pans. Dinner friday is pasta of some sort probably.
Bring stuff for breakfast burritos/ tacos.
Head count for dinner on friday? I don't know why i ask, I'll probably cook for 40.
Jerry gave me a heads up about the ride. I literally never get on the forums. Anyways I'm going to try and make it out I'll know for sure when the date gets closer.
IN for Friday dinner.
I have to meet with a client Friday morning, so I'll be showing up close to lunchtime. If you are all going out somewhere to lunch after riding in the morning, I'd like to meet you.
BTW, on Ribfest, they are having a prep work day on Saturday the 14th. People who go help can set up their tents and choose good spots before the event. I'm pretty sure that extends to non-club members as well.
In for dinner Friday. I don't camp much so any advice on what bring is appreciated. I have a tent, air mattress, sleeping bag, and flash lights. But I wasn't even thinking about food. Sounds like dinner Friday is covered and breakfast Saturday if we bring tortillas, eggs, cheese and hot sauce (what else could you possibly need for a breakfast taco?) What about other meals?
@gbw I bring mostly stuff that needs no refrigeration options for me are
freeze dried foods from Wal-Mart camping isle, thanks to jerry
fruits nuts cereal bars bread and honey bottles of water
Something to contribute to the group meals
Coffee if you drink it or a substitute
A Shower bag and 100$ bills to tip the co campers goes a long way too.
If you have a stove like a jetboil or msr, that helps. I like to bring oatmeal, apples (they travel well), nut butter packets, granola bars, and jerky. Freeze dried backpacker meals like Elad said. I always bring coffee and tea.
I'm not sure if there will be any refrigeration to keep breakfast burrito stuff? @greasyfatman you got food tips? I imagine some meals will be at local restaurants. I know that every time I go camping, someone's got some sort of food idea better than mine lol.
