But I'll be sure to brush up on all the old baja stories. I bet they'll enjoy a few of those. :lol3

So what's the eating situation... campfire cooking or runs to town?

It's been a mixed bag. Usually on Saturday, a decent group gets together and heads to Willow Pond in Aurora. A lot of us also bring camp stoves and cook for ourselves. We have been treated in the past with a awesome breakfast spread, and TK brought a roast or something in the fall.

I'm sure as things get closer, we'll start laying the plan out.

I wish I was out riding the 2-stroke :(. I rebuilt the suspension, changed handlebars, changed fluids....it's ITCHING to get out on the trails but everything is closed or it's raining. That thing is going to RIP when I get it out there....I rode it around the block a few times to make sure it worked after I did everything to it and it was fun......

And I guess I'll have to explain to my girlfriend how we have to break up for the weekend of the event so I can be free to mingle at the pond.......I don't see that conversation going over well.......

But of course I am in! I call dibs on bailing you outta jail this time!

Yep. Suckiest winter in recent history. Between the shitty weather and someone in the house being sick since December.... Yeah, I'm over it.

I can't speak for others but, my KLR runs on the tears of demons, the purity of it's riders heart & a pinch of bull s***!

Gopro batteries? Yes, I think. When my old battery quit charging I ordered another one but, it wouldn't charge either. I tried charging it from my computer (which takes longer than the wall charger) & it worked fine. I haven't tried the old battery yet but, I'm willing to bet $100 of your money that it's still good.

I'll have to get another wall charger in time for ADV@LBL in order to justify spending the extra cash on an electric site.... & I still gotta replace the defective sleeping bag I lost at last falls adventure. :lol3

We have suffered the tragic loss of our 104 lb. Tea Cup Great Pyrenees "Bubba".

In his absence our fox problem has gotten way out of hand & we're losing birds regularly. We do have a new puppy(Pucko) but, he's just a tiny little 55 lb. thing & only barks at the fox as he runs off with one of our girls. In another month or two little Pucko will probably start dropping the hammer on the fox like Bubba did but, that doesn't help NOW.

I regret to inform everyone that I will NOT be bringing any Chicken Fruit for this Springs event but, we've got 40 chic's coming in the mail any day now so I might be able to bring Chicken Fruit for next Springs event. The chic's probably won't be laying in time for the Fall ride but, who knows?

Perhaps we can agree to bring store bought food & fixens so we can continue our tradition of a healthy breakfast each mourning before the riding starts? I suppose I could bring in some un-healthy, hormone filled store bought eggs, if anyone is willing to sink to THAT level. A high performance machine doesn't run on an empty tank & I enjoy breakfast.

You used elegant and klr in the same sentence.... :rofl

Sorry about your dog. One of our neighbors had one when I was a kid. Cool dog though I think it was at least 75% fur.

We've started getting farm eggs from a coworker. They're quite good.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that, I love Pyrenees a lot, and we have a GP mix ourselves. They are fantastic dogs. I hate to hear anyone loose a dog, but that hits a little closer to home.

No worries on the eggs, I'm sure we can work something out. I am riding in, so I have limited room, and no doubt that I'll be eating differently than just about everyone who shows up (Hayniac was eating vegetarian/vegan last time I saw him though, so maybe not!), but we'll work something out, no doubt.
