Good show in Hackettstown on Tuesday as 7 were present to enjoy some fine victuals and a vast selection of beverages. Only 150 types of wings were available with or without the bone. The bar was a bit crowded so we settled for a "highboy" against the wall. Service was a bit slow, but the food was good and the suds were cold. The bar looked like a local hangout for the crowd from Centenary U. along with some townies. Parking was at a premium on the strip, so we had to mix & match up and down the street. Certainly, a nice hometown watering hole with plenty of variety for the discerning palate. We shall return.

The meeting opened at 8:32 pm with Roll Call and Committee Reports("I got nothing").

    A quorum was available.

History: On this day (November 21st)

1620: Pilgrim Fathers reach America: Provincetown Harbor, Mass.

1877: Thomas A. Edison announced the invention of his phonograph.

1942: The Alaska Highway across Canada was formally opened.

1973: U.S. President Richard M. Nixon's attorney, J. Fred Buzhardt, announced the presence of an 18―-minute gap in one of the White House tape recordings related to the Watergate case.

Hillbilly Hall is the destination for Sunday, 11/26.

Old Business: The IMS was again discussed. Looks like Saturday is the day and the "Grocery Getter" van will be able to haul your ass over to the Big Apple. Details will be finalized this week as who is going and the rendezvous point. Tickets should be purchased individually bought online to avoid waiting at the door.

New Business: Other offerings were discussed and noted regarding new locations for our weekly outing.

A new venue was chosen for next week. It will be revealed on Sunday evening as always.

There being no further business to come before the crew, the meeting was adjourned @ 9:13 pm.

    Quotes of the Evening:

    "It's all in the details."

"It's an invitation, not an obligation.

If you're planning on hitching a ride to NYC on Saturday for the IMS, it would be a good idea to come out for bike night tonight. We will be nailing down the final details for the show and the activities to follow.

Was just doing some recon on tonight's venue (yeah I was doing recon...) and yelp says this place is closed. I'm heading over there now but we may need to pick an alternative.

It was Bar Bingo Night at the Corner Pub which has now changed its name to the Market Tavern. Prizes ranged from a free appetizer to a Jack Daniels ball cap & free shot of you favorite spirit. None of the crew was a winner that night, but it was fun nevertheless. The food menu was limited, but the suds were cold and we left well nourished. When they said a "Tower of Nachos" they were not kidding as it was impossible to finish the plate. The Goddess of Wisdom & War kept the glasses full and was kind enough to indulge us in the obligatory photo at the end of the evening. Thank you Athena(to be pictured).

Negative. I just had to wait until the Staff Photographer recovered from the IMS on Saturday to e-mail more pics of the festivities. BTW, nice to see an inmate following the thread from down under.

Villa Venice is one of those places that is off the beaten track as we don't normally travel on Route 46 anymore, but there was a certain down home charm to this venue out in the sticks. The bar only had seating for 5 with some high boys against the wall, but the main room had plenty of space. The menu was chiefly Italian with some other entries which provided a variety of choices at a very reasonable price. Our original waitress was camera shy and still in her teens, so Ms. Maria stepped in to validate our presence for the photo op. We shall return.

The meeting opened at 8:16 pm with Roll Call and Committee Reports.

    A quorum was available.

APPALACHIAN BREWING CO. in Collegeville, Pa. is the destination for Sunday, 12/10.

Old Business: The IMS show was discussed as to the highs and lows. Some have mentioned that show was smaller that usual which may be in concert with subsequent generations not being into two wheel travel. McQuaids was chosen for the "after the show" venue. One of the attendees came close to tipping over a "little wasp", but was able to save the little beast. Do we really need to suggest that the Indian Brand be changed to Native American Motorcycle? No Triumph, Ducati, or Can Am's were present.

An update on a leasable property was presented.

New Business: Other offerings were discussed and noted regarding new locations for our weekly outing.

The new venue for next week will be chosen by yours truly. It will be revealed on Sunday evening as always.

There being no further business to come before the crew, the meeting was adjourned @ 9:21 pm.
