    I think she's hunting a different type of turkey:evil

    Luke's Christmas Carol:

There was a caveman all snug in his gear
he rode through most anything without any fear

He had lots of friends their numbers were many
the rides they would do were way over twenty

There were KTMs, Suzuki's, Yamaha's too
lots of KLRs without a bad doo........hicky :rolleyes

There MX boots lay by the bikes in the shed
while visions of terrain with single track danced in their heads:happay

On that magical day they awake safe inside
knowing there's a site if they can't go to ride :kurt

They can chat about gear or the fancy new ride
their joy for this sport they simply can't hide :ricky

Some wait for the snow to all go away
others just can't wait and go out to play

I hope we all cherish the rides that we do
cause 2010 is just about thru :evil

So I say to you all as I check on my bikes
Merry Christmas ya all, hope 2011 doesn't bite. :doh

I hope they sell well so that the used market becomes flooded in the next few years.

If I were replacing my Vee, the Tenere would be the bike for touring/2-up with an occasional offroad attempt.

I'd have a hard time justifying the 800, even tho honestly on paper it seems like the more versatile bike.

If I weren't interested in long distance with the wife on the back, the Tiger would be perfect for me...as long as I could compliment it with a small trail bike.

I'm thinking I need 3 bikes. And, of course, another job to pay for them all. Or, I could go with one less wife, which would free up some cash...but then who would ride on the back? Shit, it's just all very complicated.

I liked the Vee I rode but the Tenere looks way more fun. I have a feeling it may not be as nice on a long road ride as the Vee but I could be wrong.

Make sure you keep the TTR, My buddy and I were talking about why I was stupid enough to sell my XR250. While it was no rocket, it was the funnest trail bike I ever owned. I ended up buying the XCF250 to replace it.

The Tenere looks to improve upon the Vee in about every measurable way, it should be a much nicer bike all the way around....but then it's also more expensive with a lot more stuff to go wrong. So, who knows how it'll shake out. The Vee is a really good bike, but it could be improved (ABS, better clutch, better aerodynamics). On the good side, you can buy 'em used for a song, and they're reliable and the aftermarket takes care of anything you need.

Don't worry, my TTR is staying put. If I do anything, I may buy a 2nd one (I've been looking). It's not fast where it's wide open, but it's great in the woods and that's where I seem to be having the most fun. It's been a cheap bike to own, so I'm gonna see if I can't just stay on it or buy another.

BTW, great pic Mark! Your dog looks jealous.
