Soooo.... My little girl just turned 3. She's a daredevil. Climbs on everything but the ceiling fan. Bigger better faster more... She loves daddy's motorcycle (she's never ridden on it, but likes to sit on it in the garage) well, today at the fair....

Where do I go from here? We didn't buy it, but I'd like to get her riding if she's into it. Wait a year or so? Get her a PW50 or one of the small electric trials bikes? OSET, I think? I thought I'd have time to look around and ask around, but I swear, a month ago she was six months old. Maybe she won't anything to do with bikes. Who knows. Any ideas?

:D That would have been me. Did you make it to the goat barn. I would have been the big fat guy at the table with the red Jim Beam hat wondering why I get talked into volunteering to help put on the show each year....

We call that place "Wayne's World."

Glad to see Wayne Gilchrist is still sporting the Price Valiant haircut. I started calling him that a few years ago when it finally dawned on me who he looked like. He's owned that gas station at least 25 years now, I'd guess. It was around when my wife was a little girl, she grew up not far from there.

The guy sells a little of everything. Post office, adult toy store, head shop, cheap chinese knives, porn mags. Oh yeah, and gasoline. :lol3

You notice all the passive agressive notes inside about how his propane cylinder fills are 3lbs more than everyone else for less money? He also likes to put "always high prices" on the sign, since he gets a lot of people bitching about how all his stuff is "cheaper at walmart".

The guy always has the best signs, too. The most random shit. The wife and I often stop and take pics of the sign if it's funny.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today and making for another successful garage day. We enjoyed having everyone here.

I found a pair of black frame prescription glasses in the grass after everyone had gone. They were laying near where Lisa had her Super Ten parked. Let me know if any of you are missing a pair and I will get them back to you.

What a most excellent day's ride today! Thanks to Luke, Lisa, Larry and Joe for the ride out to Crooksville. Thanks to Ron and Karen for hosting us. And as a bonus thanks to Mark for the off-road blast on the way back home. Wow, great times!

Hey, I like covered bridges! That seemed a worthy destination for the ride.

Hey Neil, you available for a ride tomorrow? I could head south and meet you. Let me know if you want to get out for a ride.

I have the day off and the weather should be as nice as today was so another gravel road day would be great.

Good day, even though my time at garage day was counted in minutes. :lol3Nice to see everyone in passing.

Hey Meef, what time would you want to meet and where would you suggest? I'm thinking we can go pick up where we left off this evening. I know some more good roads just south and east of where we rode and we can tie that in to even more stuff to the east or to the south. Gosh, looking at the map I'm seeing roads I rode in the past and we were close to some of them.

Speaking of maps, I'll tape mine back together so I can get another day's ride from it. Heh.

    Wherever / whenever.

I'm going to bed directly, so just post up here with a location and time. I will get up around 7am so as long as I can check in here, get geared up, and get to wherever by whenever I will see you and whoever else shows up then and there. Clear? :lol3 Or call me and wake my ass up with the details.

I am still living in Mt Gilead at present so a Perry County ride would entail coming through or at least near Columbus, if you want to meet in that area.

I'll be on the DR and I will be available all day.

Late entry to the garage day photos: the only picture I took today, on my way to garage day...

I am sure they were mine... i grab them by the handful at the dollar store. If you are way cheaper than me, put them aside for when you need them in a decade or so... Otherwise trash 'em... Not worth the postage.

In 2006, in my first summer of riding, I remember visiting Motohio... and the sound of RayBans being crunched by the FZ-6 tires... that was the end of being expensive eyewear for motorcycles.

Sorry for the trouble... And thanks for a great garage day!

Well, I'm going to ride with Luke next Sunday in Tar Hollow area down towards (I think) Richland Furnace, so that's Ross, Vinton and Jackson Counties.

Heck, let's pick up where we left off. Meet at the Sunoco at the corner of SR13 and SR204 in Thornville at 11:00am. I need a little time to do some quick bike maintenance this morning before I head out.

We can ride Perry, Morgan, Athens and Hocking Counties. Plenty of places to stop for lunch in there. And looking at the map we can head southwest towards Zaleski State Forest or northeast towards Blue Rock State Forest. I now know some gravel roads in those areas from past rides.

Let me know if you want a plan change before 10:00. I'll head out then. To all others: Thornville Sunoco at 11:00am for a gravel road day. Come on out if you're not working today!

We didn't make the goat barn this time, but we'll back on Wednesday if you're around. I'll look for the hat. Sharp Beemer btw. Love the look of those bikes.

I did take off today, but can't think about riding to Zanesville, (my daily commute for 30 years.)

Had a real nice party here Saturday; we had ADV inmates bryguy, and guernsey, plus lurkers without log-ins Beth and Pauley. Carol had a 103 candle luminary, and we launched some crazy hot air balloons.

We had some real good chimney logs, in bg is lurker and Buell owner and rider Beth.

Sunday bryguy and I went down to WVA on 250, stopped at Prabhupada's Palace of Gold.

We talked to a guy at the Palace, he was from the valley, and wanted to know if we going to be able to catch the Steelers game. His Dad and nephew from Mumbai were with him, and they were on a Puja at the Temple. We saw him later, and he asked if his Dad could sit on my motorcycle. He said they only have smaller motorcycles in Mumbai, I asked him if he had a Royal Enfield, he said, "Oh no, much smaller, what you would call a scooter, but you know about Royal Enfields?"
