Yup, I sent a Sigma back to Smith and they improved the trigger.

The new Sigmas are actually very good guns, the old ones not so much. It's a tank, not sexy or sleek, but they work.

In that case you got the better deal by $40 on the firearm. But mine is better, because it's mine. :lol3 50 Rounds thru it now and it fired very accurately once I got on target.:evil

It's that damn 2 piece trigger is one of the major culprits. But as far as accuracy and durability they're good pistols. But the trigger alone turns what can be a good or great platform into a mediocre one.

they had it on sale...regularly $349. I also looked at a Taurus 809 but it didnt fit my hand as well as the S&W, plus it was $369.

True enough, but for home defense or a general purpose carry gun a big old heavy trigger isn't that much of a burden. When it counts, your fine motor skills will go to shit and you'll squeeze 12lbs just about the same way you do 5lbs.

But also pull shots in the process. But if it works,it works. I won't knock them on their good points,I won't turn someone away from one, just I feel a glock is superior because they won't address that issue. They did improve the basic pistol into something better, just not enough for it to be on par with Gaston's piece though. I wonder if it's something to do with patents.

Well Daggny Taggert and Indypup came out and shot it also. I was getting a good handle on it after only 30 rounds or so.

Thank you. Having my own range is making it possible for even a rifle guy like me to become better with a hand gun. :lol3 But in reality the S&W is very easy to shoot and has low felt recoil. Not a fan of three dot sites but they worked well today.

I'm not a pistol guy either. I'm confident I could defend myself with one,but I'm not going to win any competitions anytime soon.

I was planning to get into CMP Service Rifle competition this year, but I'm thinking the ammo shortage has pushed that back to next year. :cry

I'm fairly new to Ohio, this is my first winter here. When is it going to warm up?! I'm tired of this cold stuff already! Just want to go out and ride without having to have my joints freeze up and hands almost get frost bite! Anybody have a reliable date for when spring will arrive?

It was 70* last Sunday. I'd go with that. Sion might be right also
