Oh that's right! You're a noob! Lets do Perry then; more versatile. My favorite parts of the TH route are some nasty hill climbs that don't have easy go-arounds. Perry's regular trails aren't too difficult, but there's muddy sections and awesome hills to play on all over the place.

Let meet on the east side of town then... How about the Speedway at the corner of Refugee and Winchester Pike: 3233 Refugee Rd, Columbus, OH.

At, 10am?! (unless the weather changes for the worse)

I'd highly recommend a sick day tomorrow, ya'll.

I'll call off sick..........but I don't think I'll have time to get there.

I will be up in July (for IBR start/finish) and you have to call in sick one of those days so we can ride!! Exact dates TBD. :D

Much appreciated! You might rethink that though, I'm fine on gravel and pavement, but once I find dirt, I'm still little miss wrecks a lot. I enjoy flying through the air entirely too much. :p3rry And to be fair, I guess I don't wreck nearly as often, only once or twice a ride....but they are getting more spectacular.

I'll be bringing my itty bitty one fitty with me for sure. If there's road/gravel, I'll take you up on the 230.

If anyone is interested in riding off-road (trails and MX) this coming Friday, BBrooks and I will be at Crow Canyon from 10-4, cost, $20

If you hadn't heard, Crow Canyon went private last year. You must send me a pm 1st so I know you are coming, I'll need to come down and unlock the gate to let you in. As before, you'll need to sign a waiver

So, we are having a little family get together at our house on Sunday, and you guys who have been here know that I have a few projects to finish/shit everywhere. I've been busting ass to get everything presentable, and at lunch time today, decided enough was enough. I tossed the keys to my WRR to my friend/employee who is helping and told him we were gong for lunch....45 minutes later, we were at the wing place that is 10 minutes from my house.....

Point of this story is, the Versys loves gravel. Between the street (like really street) tires and Alan telling me it took a while for him to get used to his Strom off pavement, I was concerned that I was not going to like it....I was wrong. The first road we hit, I rolled into it, the ass end wagged a bit, settled in and we were gone. I was riding at what I felt to be a comfortable pace, looked down and saw 67 on the speedo....whoops, it seriously is that steady.

This is possibly the most confidence inspiring bike I have ever been on. It starts by begging to lean further and further on paved twisties, then reels you in when you blast down a gravel road at 70....I can't believe more people don't ride these, it must be the fact that they are ugly as shit.

Mark (or anyone else with a WRR),

I remember you dealing with a hole. I was doing my 3K oil change and cleaning the bike and I noticed a ding in my case from the shifter. The only time I remember dropping it on that side was the creek crossing with Matt a few weeks ago. Are any of you running a case guard?

Also, is this a normal amount of wear on the bottom swingarm slider? The mega thread has me paranoid.

Check for clearance at the shifter, if it looks too close to the case, use a couple crescent wrenches to bend the shifter until you're happy. I don't have a case guard.

The chain wore through my slider somewhere around 5500 or 6000 miles. Yours looks fine, when you can start seeing marks in the aluminum it's time for a new one. I went to a 14t front and 48 rear last time I changed chain and sprockets. It looks like it should keep the chain away. I run the chain pretty loose too, it will bind during rear suspension compression if its too tight. I think I gave less than $40 for the one I bought.

Joe, chain guard looks normal, and is that a crack or a scratch in the stator cover? If its not seeping oil I'd say its good. Otherwise the part is about $80.

As far as I know no one is making a case saver specifically for the WR.
