She did a good job. You are one heck of a nice guy. :D I saw a pretty clapped out TDM the other day and was wondering what you've been up to.

    Aww, Thanks...:shogs

All work , not much play for me lately. Between a make or break project at work and household chores I have been kept pretty busy.

About as much as a neon riding jacket. :deal

Sounds like a pretty fucked up crash to even take out the suv driver.

Hey, now. I'll have you know that DoD and Army regulations state a long-sleeved neon t-shirt is authorized PPE, but a black leather jacket with armor is not. I'm sure the military knew what they were doing when they came up with that, right?

    Is it digital camo neon?

My point was it sounds like not much of anything would have changed that outcome. I am a loud pipe kind of guy so I was giving meef some crap. Whether it is my truck, my bike, or my ass, they all go brrrrrrrrrrapppp!

Did you put a pipe on the Strom? Do they even make a pipe for the Strom?

I would but I am too cheap. I did cut off the 3" pipe that is inside the chrome end cap and then drilled 6-8 holes around the end cap as well. Looks completely stock but sounds much better. Not as obnoxious as the KLR was, but It seems to let it breathe a lot better and accelerate faster. I had a kid on a Tomos moped drown out my pipe and that was the last straw for me.

    :lol3
At 3:38 it shows what I did. I just started with 4 small holes and worked my way up. I figured if I didnt like it I could just weld the holes shut.

gotta think it was the SUV's fault...I could see if it was just 1 motorcycle that maybe it was the riders fault, but two...?

You should work for OSP, you could piece together all the weird crashes they have with nothing more to go on than a paragraph loosely describing a scene. :lol3

Maybe they were both passing on a double yellow and head on'd the SUV. Maybe they both ran a red light riding in tandem and T-boned it. Maybe one hit the SUV and the second went into the crash due to target fixation.

Get to work on the crash in Upper Arlington, willya? They could use some help on that goatfuck.

notice the key word in my comment: "think"

edit: updated story from the link above:

"According to Conner (Franklin County coroner), the northbound SUV crossed the center line on Fort Ritchie Access Road for unknown reasons and hit the motorcycle driven by Hoffer. The SUV then spun around and was broadsided by the Russells' bike, he said in a statement."

Well I have a new neon green jacket with armor that can be seen for a mile, I'm interested to see how long until it gets grimy. It does make me feel better while commuting in the morning fog, it has to be better than digi-camo or grey. :D

Talked to one of my buddies who was on the first Columbus rescue company to that run. Not a pretty sight. It's now looking like the Officer had the green and the Toyota stopped in the intersection after running the red. Haven't heard how fast he was going.

No matter, it's a shitty deal and he's going to be carrying this with him the rest of his life.

I got this a couple of weeks ago. It is pretty nice and clean. All original except grips and bars.

This is a 77 GS750. It is the first four stroke model Suzuki produced.

According to the VIN this is the 69th four stroke Suzuki imported into the US.

Nice Scott. Bike style has come a long way in 40 years. But you can respect the simplicity and design of the older rides with the big engines spooned in them. :D

Anyone have any need for an extra wheel set for their XR650L? If so shoot me a PM and you can have them for $150 picked up. Front needs trued but has a Michelin Anakee with about 50% tread left. Rear has no tire mounted but does have a gold Supersprox 42t sprocket on it. Both have rotors mounted.

Yes, true. The funny thing is it seems rather small, but really, really heavy. Not top heavy, just really heavy, like there is lead in the exhaust and the tires are flat.

I'll be surprised if I ride it 100 miles a year. It is a big waste.
