Hey Roger, 1985 called. They want their radar detector back! :lol3

Looks good, now there are no excuses to not make it out to the range for you. :deal

Ah, the radar detector. The automobile accessory that guarantees I will write you a speeding ticket if I stop you, since it's use demonstrates forethought. If I don't stop you, but happen to be behind you in traffic and see it on your dash, I amuse myself by constantly toggling the radar off and on, over and over, and watching your LEDs light up - accompanied, no doubt, by the annoying beeping.

Your "80's" comment makes me think of the current Radio Shack TV commercial. That makes me laugh every time I see it.

    Nice ride...
    Couple questions;
The dog likes that pitiful music?...surely its not YOUR choice??
Putting on the shades next to the cop...obviously to hide your bloodshot eyes?
Did you exceed the maximum recommended rpm before the breakin period???

Geez Meef....that's not very nice. Some of us like to have a device that periodically reminds us to verify that our forward velocity remains compliant to posted legal limits..as gradual drifting to either side of that limit is impercecptable to the common Tuscarawas countian.!

Last time I got a speeding ticket was 6 years ago on the vmax because it didn't have a radar detector. :lol3 Before that was the 1990's when I was in college. Those little toys have saved my bacon so many times with my lead foot and aggressive tendencies when it comes to getting away from bad drivers. :rolleyes I plan to wire one up on the S10 like I had on the V strom. :deal

I can't remember the last time I saw any speed enforcement not being done with a laser. Detectors are useless. Pay attention and use a rabbit on long trips. Or, let the wife drive. :D

For the Columbus and surrounding area folks, I'm looking for some input on the towns of Pickerington and Carroll. My wife and I are discussing relocating somewhere in the future. We have family that lives in Powell, so Columbus always comes up in the conversation. I was thinking somewhere in the southeast corner of the city, since it's a little closer to the enduro and adventure riding scene. Plus, there are a couple places nearby to mountain bike (Pickerington Ponds and Chestnut Ridge), although I don't know how good the trails are. It looks like Pickerington and Carroll schools are rated well- our son is going on 2 years old, so it's something we need to consider. My wife and I both work in healthcare and we'd like to be near a hospital for employment opportunities, and Mount Carmel East and Diley Ridge Medical Center are not too far away. So would this area be a nice place to live? Is crime low? Anything else we need to know about?

Personally, I'd pick Carroll over Pickerington...Picktown people seem snobbish to me. Carroll seems more down to earth...I'm sure it's less expensive.

How about a little farther south east in Hocking Hills/Logan area? I know of a nice log home going on the market this spring! You have Hospital's in Logan and Lancaster for employment. Wayne NF for off-road riding and great asphalt street riding. Old Man Cave! Nice schools and the friendliest folks in Ohio down here. Columbus is only a 40 Minute drive (with a Radar Detector/Jammer) and Mad Skills.

Pickerington traffic can be tough to get around in but nice school facilities. We were in Bloom-Carroll school district before moving to Lancaster and I wasn't impressed with their schools. The bigger school districts do provide more opportunities than many of the smaller ones so that is something to keep in mind. Our son graduated from Lancaster and we were generally happy with education provided so you might want to consider that also.

Oh, crap I forgot all about meeting you at the range until I just read this...oops. I'm sure you got along just fine without me though..lol

Oh, and my radar detector still works so why replace it. Hell it took me 19 years to replace the escort (ford that is)...lol

I left the radar detector going off part in to amuse just you Meef. ;) I usually don't go over 10 MPH on rural interstates. I've had cruise set to 75 in 65 before at night and had a Meef come up next to me and look over at me and then go on just to pull over someone camped out in the left hand lane. :clap

I have allergy's officer thus the reason for the bloodshot eyes/sunglasses.

Cant speak for the snobish people or schools but Carroll seems less congested with traffic, pickerington is very suburban and lots of traffic. I'm a rural guy so Carroll appeals to me more.

Meef knows how I ride and I ride like I drive without the falling down. :lol3 Seeing how Meef has lead some rides I know he uses common sense speed analysis. Since I've also ridden with you I know you're slow as bread rising. But I always wait for you so you don't get lost. :rofl

I realize descriptions of my vehicles have now been issued to all law enforcement agencies so they can pull me over. :shog
