I think he meant break-in period...or as I like to call it: drive it like you stole it
Cant speak for the snobish people or schools but Carroll seems less congested with traffic, pickerington is very suburban and lots of traffic. I'm a rural guy so Carroll appeals to me more.
Meef knows how I ride and I ride like I drive without the falling down. Seeing how Meef has lead some rides I know he uses common sense speed analysis. Since I've also ridden with you I know you're slow as bread rising. But I always wait for you so you don't get lost.
I realize descriptions of my vehicles have now been issued to all law enforcement agencies so they can pull me over.
Thats a good assessment.
Must have been on the Spyder. You'd have to drop the WRR out of a plane to obtain that speed. Although there seem to be a few in Thumpers that believe it can.
Well, through an odd coincidence, I ended up at a range today myself! A cousin requested, for his birthday, to shoot a real gun (he has airsoft and a BB guns). His farther, my uncle, has also never shot a gun, and wanted to try it out.
He texted me asking where they could go and rent/shoot a gun. I ended up bringing a handful of mine, so they could try different types, and meeting them at the new range on Bethel road.
Nice place, and very fair range prices. It's my new favorite indoor range. They also have this:
In any case, my uncle took this action shot! This is what a 9mm round looks like coming out of a 2" barrel:
Wonder if Hoot is gone for good this time.
Doubt it. He posted yesterday.
Yes, it was. It has the same V-twin 990cc Rotax engine (detuned) that was also in the Aprilia V1000 sport bike. That engine really likes high RPMs and I swear it seems to get smoother the faster it goes. I know a lot of the cruiser guys that bought the RT (touring) model Spyder really didn't like the characteristics of that engine. In response, the 2014 model now has a 3-cylinder 1330. :huh
For the record, the fastest I've had the WRR is in the mid to low 80s, but it wasn't fun. My windshield caused an oscillation that almost made me crap my pants.
That's just 5 min down the road from me. I keep forgetting it's there. I need to get over there and check it out.
Thanks for the input on Pickerington and Carroll. Sounds like Carroll is more what we are looking for. You guys pay some serious real estate and additional income taxes over there in Columbus!
Looks like he was trying to make friends down in the basement ..... and failed.
5 minutes! Where u be? That range is just 1.2 miles from our house on Francisco.
I'm walking distance to Tuttle Crossing Mall.
My dad lives just off Kenny, also only 5 minutes from the place!
(And he was raised, and my grandparents still lived until last year, basically at Fransisco and Reed.)
From what I heard, the guy who developed that motor left and designed the KTM 950/990 motor which has the same characteristics you mention.
utterly off topic but completely fascinating:
Off topic? That pretty much sums up half my rides. I'm starting a loop this weekend and you can bet, it will be a strange one.
