I would love to go, but I have to go to Cincy for a wedding. We'll have to do another midweek ride soon!

Very dusty today on Dorr Run/Long Ridge, as suspected.

Rode down and camped off of the Wildcat Hollow Trailhead last night. Sat down to have a cigar and realized I brought an empty otter box instead of my travel humidor. Pulled out my pipe bag and realized the tobacco in there was too dry to be useful. Luckily it was a clear night and the stars between the limbs of the trees made up for my lack of tobacco.

Super dry, but Long Ridge would have been super gnarly wet - it was more technical in a few places than I expected. Anyone know the trick to getting up Red Fox Trail's initial face without stopping? There were rock faces that bounced you off any decent line we could see, taking any momentum away.

The rest of Dorr, Mine Shaft, Bowl, Red Oak and the Main Corridor were solid and let us get into a really nice flow. We saw some quads but only a few. I bet today and tomorrow will be zoos full of them.

    Yup, more momentum. lol

I hit it going way too slow, we all did. A little more speed and we could have absorbed those faces without too much issue. That hill fooled me with the turn going into it, didn't size it up and get on the throttle at the bottom when I should have.

I'm getting better at throttling up at the base of climbs but that's why I paused the video at the bottom - to see that we were getting a real nice flow going up to that intersection and then all of a sudden it amped the difficulty level. I was still moving at the base when I saw you stalled to the left, decided to go for it with whatever momentum I could (I may have wanted to climb the hill you didn't LOL), and at least stayed standing and leaning forward up to the point where I couldn't find a damned line where my front tire wouldn't bounce left and right. Once stalled, I was only going to be able to walk it up or skid it down.

Yeah, once you stall out, it's a three choice game. If you can re-establish traction, great, get weight on the rear and try (and we all tried). Too steep or too loose, and there's not much you can do. Push or pull it up if you're close to the top, or take another run after you spin and go back down. That hill was ditch shaped so turning around was a little tricky without using a lot of muscle, seemed easier to me to push 'em since it wasn't slick.

I've done some hills during dual sports where I turned and took another run at it 4 or 5 times before I got close enough I could drag it past the top. After the first couple fails, it gets exhausting.

I too am on 90/10's but I am sure we can tip toe around a ADV route with them as long as YOU keep it sane.:lol3
Let's see what the weather is going to do and also I see just 10min away from the club house on SR46 is Sleep inn& Suites with a Buffalo W. Wings, Ihop, Micky D's Starbucks next door. Also a LaQuinta but no Beer joint near-by. I can ride or trailer. Ill talk at ya.

PS Anyone got a ama card, I don't want to pay for that shit. since they screwed up real superbike racing.

Road trip! 614KTM and I are heading over On Bikes to Columbus, IN. Of Friday to ride the Buffaloe 500 ADV Ride 10/14-15 Indiana.
Weather looks great and the route looks big bike friendly with 90/10 tires.
Staying at in Sleep Inn&Suits Columbus, IN. They have 5 rooms left.
Club House is 9min away. Ride Saturday Route and return home on Sunday. Leaving Friday 1300 Lancaster, Oh. Route 22.
Anyone is welcome to join in. Should be a Buffalo Wild Wings Friday night tossing back a few.

Hello Everyone, It's been a while. I rode the HD a little last year and less this year. I got my SR500 running this summer and have been mostly riding it. Pretty busy with work. All else is going well. I have enjoyed seeing a few of you around at events.

Just returned from Barber Vintage Festival, it was great until Hurricane Nate chased us away.

I hope you all made it to AIMExpo in Columbus last month, horrible if you had something in Ohio of this magnitude and missed it.
