They were both unhurt but at the end of day one the other two both crashed hard, on route 129 but 10 miles north of the start of the dragon. Klr actually bent a guardrail but but was fully straight with only some broken palstic, crf ran into the back of him. We found a local shop to fix the damage to the CRF. From there we got on to the TAT where I have next to no photos of all of the great dirt

We continued west on the TAT for about 400 miles to where it intersects the Natchez Trace Parkway, a long boring road with a low speed limit and similar scenery to Ohio. Somewhere in this period the KLR gets flung off a hill and 40ish mph, M is again unhurt, I suggest he learn how to turn. Bike is once again fine. We take the Natchez all the way down and head in to New Orleans, we were supposed to stay there a day or two but were behind due to the crash on day one. From there we followed the Gulf coast all the way to the Tallahassee area, M bails and takes the KLR home in a truck. Ian and I continue to Miami, CRF looses the fender and the Buell proceeds to blow a fork seal dumping oil on the front brake. It also develops a habit of cooking my right leg as it pleases

Ian and I head down to a friend's on Big pine key, Stay there for a few nights and wander to key west a few times. The keys still have massive devastation from Irma so I didn't take many photos. We're pointed in the direction of some old roads on the islands that are flooded, find a 4-5ft alligator, and then the Buell took a nap. Something like 80 degrees with intense sun

Eventually we have to head back (well, Ian does, I'm thoroughly unemployed in the winter, please hire me) I make friends with key deer, that one is full grown. We hoof it across the everglades and try the old loop road at night. It's open but quite flooded in some areas. I spot a slightly larger alligator laying in the middle of the road but it wanders off. Buell's rear caliper bracket fails due to prior damage from a wheel lock, I now have a front brake covered in fork oil and a rear brake held on with gorilla tape. Ian trades the CRF for a dinosaur. We Stop by the Clermont Lounge in Atlanta (you don't want to see photos of that) and then take forest roads to the tail of the dragon again before hoofing it home. I go to girlfriend's house instead of home and somehow drop the bike when parking. I said duck it and leave it there till morning, eventually wander home the next day. Trip was 10 days total with 4,004 miles on the clock at the end. About 1/5 of it was dirt

Me too, home safe and sound even if I took off early. Wish I could have stuck around and seen the Big Musky bucket as I have never made it there!

When ever you are ready just give a shout out. We did not finish the route today, we broke off and headed home, dropping temps and a little fatigue. I got a gravel work out today.

I just got home as well. Hammered down some gravel to the Ohio valley tag in Adena after we split up. Some pretty gnarly gravel over there. I had a really great time today and haven’t laughed that hard while riding in a long time. Finished out the day right at 400 miles. I think the first 100 it was below freezing. Thanks B-Mac for leading the way. I had a fucking blast!

Hey!? You guys ride motorcycles past the first of November? Wow. Isn't that dangerous? Don't you have to re-winterize your motorcycles every time you ride?

I can't speak for the others, but the only winterizing I do is Stabol in the gas and hook it to a Battery Tender Jr. I am definitely no bike mechanic, so I could be doing it wrong.

...I may also be missing the sarcasm, lol

And a poor attempt at sarcasm it was :arg. It was some of the comments I get when I ride at this time of the year. One lady thanked me for my service putting out fires.

I already have a good layer of salt on mine to prevent any water freezing on it so it should be good till spring.

I had to immediately edit my comment to include the sarcasm line, because as soon as I posted it, I remembered this was the AiO thread, so there was a 99.99% chance it was sarcasm, haha.

To prove that you do ride you should go snag the tag.
