The banner seems to be missing at CADVR. WTF??

The banner seems to be missing completely, and yet the parties responsible for the banner are strangely silent.

like i posted, i never received the banner in Bishop at White Mountain Research Center Rally.
i PM'd @Big_John and posted here.

when i was leaving the campground, i said for them to return it IF they got the package.
i called later to check if they ever got it, they did, the next week after the rally.
they told me they received it and refused it so it would be returned to sender.
Big John should have it. or UPS has it.

it's all about communication.

after i posted that and PM'd Big John a couple times, i haven't seen any posts about it on here and my inbox is empty.
i literally never saw the banner.
i was bummed that the WMRC rally didn't get to sign it and get our photos with it.
seems that the transit with UPS was slow or not used the correct Next Day or Two Day shipping, but i don't know what day or what shipping Big John used. he had said he would use Two Day shipping and sent it out on Tuesday before WMRC rally. i checked Thursday, Friday and Saturday but no sign of any package. i left camp on Sunday morning to head home.
the people at Browns camp said they would just refuse delivery which will send it back to sender.

2 weeks later i still haven't heard from Big John or anyone else on ADV.

so if the banner is still missing, it would be Big John that would and could only contact UPS to find what location it was last.
it may be sitting in a UPS warehouse near Bishop, CA. but because he was the sender, he's the only person that can get that info from UPS.


here's my 2 cents in the future with this banner sending system....

-always send it Next Day.
-always give the next rally member the Tracking Number
-always give the carrier (UPS or FedEx) or if you're driving it personally/picking it up personally.
-your full name and ADV handle and cell number.
-the package type would help as well (tube or small box). telling the camphost "it's coming in a tube" helps.
-and post a link to the Rally it's going to.

i didn't have any of this information from Big John. i would just ask each day if they received a package for me from UPS.
hope it gets found and sent to the next rally. and we could use this as a lesson learned.

Never been a part of the banner thing here........on another forum I was/am a member of....it went like this:

It's a motorcycle forum. The banner NEVER travels by any other convenyance, other than Motorcycle. It is not mailed/shipped/etc etc.

My local UPS called me last Friday, notifying me that they had received the banner back.....rejected by the receiver. I paid $20 to ship it 2-day Air. It did, in fact, arrive at the camp ground on the date promised.......but the Camp Ground Owners rejected the package. Don't know what happened with that mis-communication.

So....I am in possession of the banner......and have to pay to ship it again.

Who wants it?

CroMag is next. According to the official list of rallies, the banner never should have been sent to Bishop.

Well if it never should have gone to Bishop......then I suppose it is a weird twist of justice it wasn't received by RAZR.....

And if it never should have gone to Bishop.....someone should have informed me.

Now I have the responsibility to ship it again.....so don't frickin ask for it, if you aren't supposed to have it.

I just want to go on Record that we would like to have it at the ADV Smokin Hole Rally! If it isn’t spoken for by those dates I’ll PM my request again in plenty of time!

Glad to see the Banner is present and accounted for! There are several Rally’s on the books for 2018 before our Smokin Hole date of May18-20. More to follow!
