I have not tried but from what I hear from UK customers it's not really a bolt on. I don't want to say 'it can't be done' because gorilla tape is an amazing thing. But I doubt that it's an easy thing.

The way the OMs clamp onto the frame on the left side scares me.

I have the OM "mid" bars and was hesitant about that clamping arrangement at first too. It does offer a little bit of movement in the bars, but I think that's actually a good thing as it allows some of the shock of a tipover to be absorbed by the rubber cushion. I've dropped it on both sides and just have scrapes in the paint, no bending or real damage and certainly saved the bike from a lot of damage. Worthwhile!

I've got the SW Motech bars. Installation was straightforward with the instructions that came with the bars. Go in the exact order the instructions recommend, and don't tighten down the bolts all the way until the instructions tell you to. Have a look at the all the assembly and where everything goes, and make sure you have the tools, and they are all handy and ready for the job.

If you have an aftermarket bash plate, check to make sure you have enough clearance for the bottom bar, or count on getting creative with an angle grinder or similar tool.

IDK but curious to know what the AT 2018 rear grab bar is made of. If same as older, what's the point of swapping?

Maybe some with an ATAS would not mind to post picture of the grab rail/rack without the seats installed.

Has anyone reinforced the gps bar on top of the fairing?
    Which solution worked best?

I have the brace from CamelADV, it's easy to install and extremely strong and rigid.
