Heaps of ATs at Kenilworth on Saturday morning. Also saw a bunch covered in mud near Maleny about 8am.

It's good to hear you got to ride the new model i was told it would only be display at the pub!

Good to hear Honda have improved some of the inherent problems with the bike, increasing the seat padding making it more comfortable and level is would help the readability as will the longer suspension stroke and ground clearance all be it now quite a bit taller.

At 6'2 i have reframed from fitting the seat concepts tall seat to level out the seat height as i think it will feel to tall and cumbersum offroad in some situations and with the new model having a bigger tank so more weight up high, I think the current model is already to top and front heavy. i't a shame Honda thought to utilised all the wasted space under the seat and put a primary tank in there with the efi unit and have the current tank as a feed in unit instead of the adding to it.
have the changed the tiny foot pegs and upgraded the r/h footpeg mount? or the foot area clearance with the exhaust?

I'm sure the changes to the suspension have improve it the current mine felt like a life boat in rolling ocean when i got it looking back here and in other threads and on facebook groups many guys were shot down for saying the suspension wasn't upto the job Honda edited ever promo clip of the bike landed was a clear sign that was the case the work i had done on mine lifted it stiffened it change valves has well improved it

hopefully Honda consider production of a full rallye model like the 1 that has made the rounds. as i feel my model AT is a glorified dirt road bike while i have done more Difficult stuff on it it's not enjoyable.

seen as you brought it up (at the so called "Tight Arse" ...... I mean "Rip off" ride).
With what they charged i can't see how they haven't made a profit from what i understand was provided, Personally I think it's a joke to charge people more then the incurred cost on this kind of ride A "Promotion of a new model" and will just encorage more of the same in future.

thanks for you info and thoughts / info on the bike glad you enjoined the ride

I'll just leave this here for anyone to make up their own mind...

"Some riders will leave from xxxxxxx at 8am on Saturday morning. To meet the rest of the group at Kenilworth Hotel and leave there at 10am. From there we will ride as a group through a planned route including dirt sections. We will then return to the hotel for a dinner.
On Sunday there will be another ride finishing up around midday.

$150 gets, food and accommodation at the Kenilworth Hotel as well as a shirt. 14 have so far booked in for this with 6 spots remaining.

$100 gets the same as above but without the accommodation. There will be a courtesy bus for those who live or have their own accommodation nearby"

I'm still riding on bog standard suspension and I think it's great.

Didn't you use to run trials tyres on the back of your XR? (not that there is anything wrong with that :D )

That stock standard bike sounds good, maybe no need to put a pipe on just for a note.

And up here, it's the latest thing for the cops. They're out with their decibel meters booking loud exhausts.
I'm thinking I shouldn't have dumped mine in the wheelie bin

I watched the same You Tube video (it's the one above) The rider has a Wilbur rear shock and his front forks are modifies as well. He thought the ATAS was as good if not better than his set up.
