My current helmet is a 61-62cm. I'd rather go just a touch tighter than just a touch looser. Recommend holding out for the L (have one on backorder) or should I try and jump to an XL?

I'm second guessing myself now that some people are getting their helmets in. That and I suck at being patient.

That is the Wood Camo version, they are actually in stock at the vendor. We chose not to carry that model, but if you did order one it would arrive to me in 3-4 biz days, and then 1 day over to you. I added it to the drop-down in the listing, you can order it there or call me tomorrow and I will get it handled.

BP, what is shield removal and replacement like?

I have an FX37 and changing from the clear shield to the tinted shield is hit and miss for alignment and for getting the detentes right. It's also rather slow and fiddly (but so is changing the shield on the Shoei and Arai DS helmets for that matter). Has AFX come up with a reasonably quick shield change on this one?

Thanks for giving me a call today. It was very helpful and the customer service was above and beyond. I'd strongly recommend your company to anyone. This will be my second order, and so far your service has been top notch.

Can't wait to get this helmet! I bashed my current lid up a bit yesterday. Oops.

+1 on that. I've recently ordered some Gaerne G-Adventure boots from Atomic, and service has been excellent. I've just ordered the AFX FX-39 in White XL, and the helmet shipped within 2 hours from placing my order. These guys are serious about their business.

Sage, your Silver XXL was just shipped. Should hit there the 13th or 14th. Will we make it?

Be back at you later today for your pressure suit questions.

Yep, I think it will. I have some work related classes to take this coming week so, those could mess me up. You never know how its going to work out with training and certs for a new job. But it looks like I'll get that done this coming week so, the helmet should make it before I can leave anyway. :D

I should do around 1,000 miles in three days, hopefully leaving on the 18th... Trying to get the trip in before I start working again. If I have enough time I may ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway but, I may actually have to work for a change..

Its nice to see Kilm with socks to fit my size 14 feet and they are nice and thick. I have been wearing the thin coolmax Alpinestars which have been ok. These look pretty comfy though and they fit... thats always a plus.. :evil

Working on that today. Seems that is the very last color coming in.

Just a comment about DS 39 size based on my head trying a M and a L.
    They run big.

I am beginning to agree with you. Adding to that, many people are working off the fit of the FX-37 (which ran small) and ordering up a size.

    More later this AM.

Any idea how they fit compared to the THH dirt helmets?

Do you even get the THH dirt helmets there?

    Thanks.
