If necessary I can go over to the Ethiopian Air office and inquire. Oil, I was just at the store, Game- not sure if you have those in Australia, but they have 15w40 produced by Chevron in South Africa. 20 USD for 5 liters. What are you riding?

I was at the airport today so I stopped by Ethiopian Air and you can ship from Accra to Addis on their cargo flight.

    1. Tank must be dry
    2. As far as crating I'm not sure, ran out of time to go to the cargo village.

The cargo goes to the cargo village and gets weighed and goes through the customs process, paperwork is filled out by the customs agent, once complete you go to the Air Ethiopia office o turn in the paperwork and pay.

You have to pay the agent at the cargo village and the price is what you negotiate with him. Guy told me 250 - 500 Cedi or 125 - 250 USD.

    Prices: In USD

    1. 4.06 per kilogram for weight
    2. 0.55 per Kg fuel charge
    3. 0.12 per Kg Insurance
    4. 0.06 per Kg Handling
    5. 5.00 fee for process?

I'll get by the cargo village and find out about crating / preparation.

I know a guy in Ethiopia who has a motorcycle touring business as well.

    Hi guys,

Did you manage to send your bike to Ethiopia? I´m trying to send my bike from Spain to Addis and stay there for 2 months. I would appreciate if you could share with me any info you have regarding the shipping, bike shops in Addis, insurance and if you know any thing about crossing the read see from Djibouti to Yemen or Oman.

Of course only if you are not stuck somewhere in Africa or have enough time to reply :).

    Cheers,
    Mahsa
