Looks like it started life as a 19 litre off a twin shock R65, or R80ST.

Top case shaved, but starter left in place, battery moved up to clear room behind the airbox... which front end? It looks KTM, which must mean WP. they look like 50's.

    Its dual plugged?

which carbs? look like flat slides.

Looks Very fun to ride. :lol3 :thumb

The bike was built by Paul Rooney and is being prepped for the Australian Safari this year. Its 850cc and that race was after less than 300k's of testing. Great result.

    Well Done Paul :clap

That`s the bike I`ll be following, it`ll look great with a big tank. Hope it does well. Coincidentially, Ray Peake made up one similar to that a while ago. It had a kitted R65 motor (around 820CC), and only went on a couple of short rides before sitting for awhile then being broken up for parts as a purchaser could not be found.

    R65 :nono

Well, unless you're talking about an R65G/S which is pretty rare. Otherwise it's prolly R80G/S. The R65 (non G/S) is reeeaaal similar, but doesn't have the extra swoop at the knee. Plus, I doubt the R65's ever had a vented screw on cap option (only avail in the first year or two of G/S series).

I noted the screw cap, but figured it had been modified. You`re probably correct about it being originally from an R80 G/S, I thought about that after posting but didn`t do a correction.

What a tease! You don't really think we'd let you get away with one pic, do you? Is that a Guzzi wind screen? And the caliper - show us how you mounted it! Cmon man, you can't jerk us around like this!

Since these I have fitted black rocker covers. Which I prefer over the Kidney ones. They are stronger too.

Wow, that is one helluva LOOKER! :eek1 Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I sort of do recall pics of this bike before, and drooled then as well. I like the silver, and the larger headlight and the roadbike gauges. Where did the headlight mount come from?

It was custom made by Daryl of Foran exhausts in Queensland.

The Price was extremely reasonable and he even makes the double bend header pipes. The muffler sounds sweet as . . . . .
