There’s an article in the April 2013 issue of airheads’ Airmail regarding deleting the muffler and installing an exhaust pipe tip off the center resonator (R100R/GS), which recommends the 7” Superior Automotive p/n 28-2151 available at Pep Boys, etc.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I’ve heard this and can report it isn’t objectionable at all. Surely not as good as the Rooney unit but works in a pinch and beats the price of an aftermarket silencer.

It has been lying in waiting for a while (I am sure I am not the only one ). Quite some things have been changed. The only thing I did not doe, is lengthening the paralever. I only lowered.

Regards,
Remco

That's coming along nicely Remco. Are you finished now or more plans afoot? True there are many more of these specials out there we do not get to see...Maybe that is not a bad thing. So much of what has inspired my dreams has deflated my wallet.

Thanks Stu,

The only thing left now is a complete dismantling, reinforcement of the frame, sandblast session and respray. But I doubt I will ever get to that.
