Just like the looks. To tell the truth i am thinking to change them to UFO's. The vintage line and get an HPN front mask...

Nice bike and what I am kind of working towards, myself. What is the front end on your bike? I have an R80g/s that I am working towards transplanting an R100gs front end on....

That looks like a DRZ front.

DRZ 400 front end. After reading how others have done it, I thought, why not. Then found one on ebay for 75 bucks shipped and the madness began. Stock BMW wheel on it now, I've got a 21" to go on there when I get a few parts together. That is a funky exhaust on that one. That's why I posted it.

Greg's bike, or at least was. I remember him putting out feelers for selling it at one point. Lots of HPN stuff but I think not an HPN bike. I was riding behind him for a while (and this is years ago) and the thing nearly asphyxiated me. Hopefully it has gotten some attention since then.

Looks like you got the wrong DRZ fork, could you post a pic of the top?
Don't get me wrong, these forks are way better than the stock G/S forks anyway.
Did you shorten them? Or only put them through the triple clamps?

They were cheap for a reason. Yes, up in the clamps. Once I get to dialing in the suspension, I may shorten them. This is, after all, a work in progress and a "cheap holy union". How cheap? Fox snowmobile shocks for the rear. Rebuilt, and they work good on the road. Haven't been able to offroad it yet due to one thing and another. I'm around 1,500 into it so far with a lot of time in modifications. And many more to go. I was waiting to start a little build thread, but want to get a little farther along. I started out thinking of making it a scrambler type, but once I got the 2000DRZ forks, forgetaboutit.

The lavender springs really put the bike in another class. I'm just not saying which one.
