hey guys, wanted to bring this to your attention while browsing around:

looks to be a BMW? guy doesnt describe it too well but he says he got it from china.. well i dont know about chinese technology or companies that build motors the same way as BMW.. but i could easily be wrong. looks to be a decent deal, even if you had to rebuild the motor, maybe he could take a few hundo's less.

    anyway, :ear

It's a Chang Jiang, a Chinese copy of a Soviet copy of a 1938ish BMW. I haven't had any personal experience with them. I've read stuff about them both positive and negative but that doesn't mean much. Do some searching for Chang-Jiang CJ750 if you're curious. Oh yeah, some people swap BMW engines into them.

That's an appropriate asking price for a Chang, though you'll find plenty advertised at higher prices.
Brakes and power suitable for puttering around town only, and parts break frequently. Parts are rare in the US, and when ordering from abroad, you will have a 50/50 chance of receiving something usable.
Cool for historical novelty, but not practical as transport.

They sure look cool though don't they?
I've got a CJ flattie with sidecar in the garage.
