We need more pictures and less boring chatter.......it's a pic thread for heavens sake!!!!!
Please reveal this dark secret to me. I have this tool, but I need the 36mm ring end. This one is 42mm. What model is it for? Thanks.
Post 85 R80 and R100.
Less than half the price from BMW and he's an inmate here http://www.wirewerkes.com/WIRING_1970_AND_BEYOND_.html
You pay the shipping and I'll give you 2. PM me if you still need them.
Rights are nearly impossible to find as it is the one side that always falls off. A new one from BMW is $115.00.
I'm pretty sure side covers didn't show up until '72. So in your case you're not missing a right side, you have a spare left side.
Friends, I have an 81' R100 with a 99k+ miles on the OE Drum brake 37/11 final drive. It has alot of drive lash and the diff is shot. Will a 32/11 from a 74 R90/6 bolt on without drama?
let me know asap as it's on ebay and I don't want to lose it.
37/11? I thought that was specific to R80 STs and G/Ss. Both of these had 3 lug hubs. As far as I know the R100s had 4 lug hubs. Double check which you have and don't buy the other one.
I was mistaken, in low light, a german 2 looks like a 7, so...
I actually have a 32/11 and the housing is ribbed, not a smooth casting like I've seen.
I think the diffs might be OK what do you lot think?
They'll interchange. I might be interested in getting your old one from you - send me a PM if interested.
Mark, there were 37/11 twin shock final drives as well.
Here's a dark secret revealed!
https://www.bmwmc.net/catalog/71-14-2004 (104) Saddlebag Keys for Earlier Motorcycles.pdf
Are these part numbers for Krauser bag keys?
You can use any 70-84 twin shock rear drive as long as it has the brake pivot hole in it. Not all 81-84 rear drives had it.
No, just for the early BMW bags that had the metal latches.
Napa oil filter kit # PS4945
does anyone know the part number exchange, Valeo copy starters for R80G/S?
this appear to be an Asian made nine tooth permanent magnet starter that fits, BMW R series Airhead with 9-Tooth, Replaces Valeo D6RA7, D6RA15, 12 41 9 062 425
these are probably made for a popular Japanese auto with several applications. starter mfg generally will not make new starters unless there are lots of sales to justify tooling.
try this ,
