Anyone here that can take a pic for me of their /6 from behind with luggage racks? i am fabricating some mounts to hold my givis on my r90/6 and wanted to see how far out the standard racks sit from the frame. i want to still be able to open my seat, but don't want to melt the cases on the exhaust.
    Thanks!

wooooow, clean. I had a spot that clean on my bike once...

Yeah, those are in pretty tight. I tried holding my brackets in like that but the givis are too tall and hit the pipes. If I bring them up, The seat won't open even with the bags off. I may either have to come out with the frames, or try the seat mod from the link. Thabnks guys.:freaky

Or you could do what I did and get rid of the seat hinges and install a post that fits into that hole on the subframe.

    Yep, thats the answer.

Ditch the hinges, add a couple of seat posts and enjoy the luxury of accessing the tool kit and battery by pulling the seat up and off without removing the side cases.

You'll be amazed at now much better life is without hinges. :D

    That is a beautiful color!
I believe I am going to take off the hinges and set the seat up to be lifted off. That will allow me to place the bags where I wanted them in the first place. It's a shame, the PO just put brand new hinges on it too.

Yeah but those hinges are expensive, so either save em (Even though you'll never need em!) or sell em on IBMR.
