Any word on whether Akra has a header for the 1190? Would love to see a way to get rid of the midpipe cat without having to go with an Arrow system.

My understanding is that Akrapovic have not produced a header system as yet... I stand corrected on this..

Here in Australia the Akrapovic slip on for the 2014 Adventure is $1,600 Aud, $1,423 USD

I thought the Arrow header would accept any of the slip ons? Doesn't it keep the same location and flange as the stock header?

    Why not get the Arrow?

Will the bike need a new map after a header change or will the sensors accommodate the change?

Akra never made a full system for the old bikes but the old LC8's never had a chunky midpipe with that looks like a catalyst in it before! I can see because of Akra's affiliation to KTM that they might not make one...

If the Arrow header worked with the Akra slip on i would probably bite on that.

And yes it will need to be mapped for the new flowing pipe. Not sure how i would do that yet as mine hasnt arrived at my dealer yet but i assume a piggy back fuel management system is the way. Bazzaz has a unit for the RC8 so that might be able to be adapted or Ammar might be able to help me out with a unit directly. Bazzaz is hands down the best tuner on our Road Race bikes so i would put my faith in that project for the ADV!

The arrow mid will work with the stock can so it will work with a slip on. I'm waiting for fueling ideas to come out. Have a wings slip on right now

I've got a Wings shorty on too. Like the pipe - took the baffle out and didn't like the sound at all. With the slip on off looking down at the inside of the Catalytic converter in the header - that has to be very restrictive.

I'm also thinking this will get rid of some heat that must be rising up and being felt.

I do hate to think of messing with the fueling - the bike runs so strong and smooth as it is.
