From my 650-mile Canoe trip last year. Everybody we met told us it was the best food on the river, but we got there on a Thursday and they were closed. :(: Planning to make a two-wheeled return trip to see if it's as good as I was told.

    The Brick in Decatur.

They make some of the best sandwiches not to mention a pretty good selection of brew. Let me know if you are in the area, I will buy you one.

The Rattlesnake Saloon. Built in a cave/clif shelter. Its out the other side of Russleville.

OK the food is only so so. But it is a great ride to get there and a really cool place.

A little place I run across a few weeks back while on business over in Florence. This is across the river in Sheffield, AL. Grilled oysters were awesome.
