Going to let my feet warm up some before I pick the next one. Will get back out after lunch. Ray
Great job Ray
Good job Ray! Sorry I couldn't get out with you this AM.
Great find! How's the food there?
Burrrrr...good job Ray. Can't wait to see where you lead us next.
Maybe when it warms up some that can be the location for the continuation of the north Alabama dinner get-together?
Do I need to throw in a clue? Anyone.........
I think I know what that is.....anymore dam pictures?
On the way there....
I think I know where it is too. Don't think I've ever been on that side.
I know where that is. But Im not positive about which side. If I cant figure it out I will take pics from both sides. Not that it is likely to happen until this weekend. Unless I can talk the missus into another nocturnal mission that is.
As for the food at Fire on the Mountain. Pretty decent I have to say. Good enough to get me to return more than once. Tried the breakfast the other day. The bacon is the best I evar.
That's a bold statement.
I'd like to see you do another pre-dawn run to this tag Thursday morning when the temp is a forecasted 8° :eek1
All I will say about the bacon is it looks like they cut it themselves on the spot.
As for Thursday. luckily I have an excuse. I have to be at work come 0630 so a dawn raid is out of the question. And I think the park there is only open sun up to sun down with armed guards to enforce the rules so a midnight run is also out.
However I am off Friday, and if has not been nabbed by the time the ice melts it is mine.
Ray did you say RTE?
Good tag, I have to find the place...what community?
Where is everybody? We almost got demoted to the second page.
If I had some heated gear I would already have this one.
Heated gear? What is it, low 30's down there? Sheesh, thin blooded rebs
It's gonna b 9 degrees tomorrow morning. Not really COLD but getting there
OK, I will agree with that. 9 degrees is starting to get a bit on the chilly side.
Today would have been the day to do it. Temps got almost to 50. Too bad some of us have to work for a living.
If it gets above 25 on Friday I will go after it. Lower than that and forget it. Yes, my blood is too thin.
As for the heated gear. It is the best money I ever spent. My only mistake was not buying it years ago. It extends my riding season to year round.
Yee haw. And damn it was cold at the dam.
Guntersville Dam. East side.
Here the Tennessee river looking down stream from the same spot. The Huntsville Canoe Club launches from here and paddles down to Ditto Landing one in a while. I want to go with them but I think I will wait for a warmer day.
