Coming back from Hyder with WM Lewis and R Wood
Certainly not a KLR or DR. You are far too intelligent to do something as foolish as that. Aren't you?
Well of course I highly recommend a DR! I have been very happy with mine. We're going to hit 11,000 miles this evening when I ride to Wasilla and this is only the beginning of my third summer riding. Whoohoo!!!
Was that your Norton I saw last fall at Barnes & Noble?
Hey, what was your job up there?
I lived in Nerland Hall around '83-'84 and helped take a few Intramural Championships. FUN!
Dear Mr. Duc,
Since one of the areas I oversee at UAF is campus housing, I did a little digging in our records. Looks like you may owe us a considerable little sum for an incident you were involved in. I don't want to embarrass you and violate your confidentiality, but you know the incident I'm talking about... the one involving the freshman girl, vomit and the goat.
DUC, I wondered if admitting you were here was a mistake KNOWING AKBeemer's present occupation. I of course am willing to let bygones be bygones, and as I worked in the computer center, (in Bunnell back then), I really can't know anything, at least not that I'll admit to. And furthermore, since I know your father, its just as well I don't know anything more...
RD - nope, Norton wasn't out of the barn last fall, although it had been out and about last June. Should be running again soon. Its got a red tank at the moment.
You'll probably need to narrow it down a little more, like - was the freshman girl blond, brunette, or red head; was the goat a billy or nanny; did this take place on the roof of the dorms or in the parking lot at midnight? From the stories AKDuc has told, it could have been any of quite a few incidents in his otherwise wasted youth. :eek1
Hey - you gotta admit they're pretty good lies. I've even started to believe some of them myself. :eek1
AKtracks and akwerf (aka Shawn & Jess) with my R12GS and her new Spyder
Yo Shawn... was that you that built the R80GS a few years back, upgraded the displacement to an R100, decked it out and then sold it to Glenn in Anchortown?
Nope, but it sounds like a hellofa fun project...one that I wouldn't have sold.
I love that 1200!!!
What year is that? I don't recognize those plastics...?
Those "plastics" look a lot like the Touratech suplimental fuel tanks to me.
Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.
It's a '07. The beak and tank cover were painted with DupliColor "School Bus Yellow" and the side covers were replaced with the Touratech Aux fuel tanks. A little cutting, some machining, and welding and the H&B tank guards were widened 1.5" on each side to fit the wider tanks and, presto....a GSA clone.
Did Jess sell the F650? Have you resolved the traction control issues on the Spyder when on mud etc? You are going to suck riding home in the snow tonight!!!
Arrival in Kodiak
Huh, I'd never seen those before. But I like them......
She's undecided about selling the F650 as of yet. I'm waiting for a chance to go out and <del> play with the Spyder in the mud </del> research the traction control issues.
It wasn't too bad riding home last night, actually. I had to stop for groceries on the way home and was asked to pose for a picture with some tourists while on my bike in the snow. One of them stated, "I'd hate to ride my Harley in weather like this.". I replied, "I understand, I'd hate to have to ride a Harley, too." It took him a second to get it....oh well, at least his buddy chuckled.
Watch it! Some of those Harley riders are a bit sensitive about their rides!
