Would anyone be willing to share a gpx file or a google map for a route that goes from valley to coast (preferrable between eugene and salem and ending in Newport or Walport or ???)?

It can be simple gravel roads or snotty terrible trails just trying to get connected to the coast with very little pavement. Trying to sneak in a last minute ride end of this week. Thanks

Check out this thread -> http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/valley-of-the-giants-failed-attempt.1108997/ My understanding, from weyerhauser and the BLM is that the falls city gate should have opened on 12/1. Not sure about the other end. If you have not been to VOG, it's worth the stop. Officially, Weyerhauser prohibits all motorcycles on all forest land that they own/manage.

From Grand Ronde you can take 22 and then get on FS12, it's nice gravel almost all the way to Otis. Then you can back track a bit on OR18 to FS17 for a gravel route that get's you south past lincoln city.

The only other way I know is Alsea -> Lobster Valley -> Five Rivers, which is a lot of fun pavement, then FS-37 to FS-55 which brings you out at Cape Perpetua. Lots of tree fall through there this time of year.

Thanks to both of you guys. I'll try to use this information to compile a map via google.

Scott, I believe I've done this in a group ride before but can't remember it for the life of me. Hopefully no locked gates.....
