Alpinestars does not offer a specially made wide boot and the reason is that their boots tend to work very well for folks with wider footprints. A key factor of any boot maker is the foot molds they use to form the basis for their sizes and will often make or break the footwear company based on their ability to get sizing right for the fee they fit.

Alpinestars, typically will suit riders with wider feet better than, say SIDI and a few other brands.

Is there a particular type of boot you were looking for?

I'd be glad to offer any professional assistance i can, whether you buy from us or not.

I sell Alpinestars boots SIDI, Puma and Gaerne, as well as a few others, but those are out main brands

Good to know Joe. We occasionally get a client who sizes a bit wider (EE or more) than we can accommodate. Will now refer them to Alpinestars and you in particular. Appreciate your helping even those foolish enough not to buy from you. Better to deal with a professional committed to selected brands than the MotoWallmarts claiming "expertise" in anything and everything.

awesome deal, i couldn't refuse. just ordered a 52. i'm a 40 chest, 33 waist, 6', 175-180lbs so debated looking elsewhere for a 50, but all you guys have left are 52s so i figure i'll give it a shot. room for layering i guess if it's a bit loose.

last month i got a alpinestars verona air to replace a joe rocket mesh and was very impressed with alpinestars quality so am excited to get one of their leather jackets for cooler weather. got a bioform back armor in medium, hope it can go back and forth between the verona air and halo.

Have a question about Alpinestar boots - I have a really old pair that I use daily for commuting. they are only 10 inches tall, but still proper boots. I can't find a name on them, other than a goretex label.

I need to replace them, but all i see are either full height boots (12 -13 inches) - which are awkward with normal clothes and when i have to take them on/off a lot. else I see small street/commuter booties that are just over the ankle, which I don't like - they don't feel safe to me.

Are you currently offering anything that is around 10 inches high?

Well, not really. Here is what I have currently:

They are 11 inches at the highest point ( not 10 as I mentioned before):

Here is a comparison to a regular boot of about 13 inches:

What I like about my old ones is they are easy to wear with jeans over the top, and so are great for comutting. Full size boots are a lot more trouble when you are comutting. However the ones I have still provide good coverage and good protection.

Does Alpinestar still make anything like this? How tall are the ones you gave me the link for?

    Motostrano,

What can you tell us about the Alpinestars 365 Leather Jacket and Pants? I live in the north east and am looking for a fall/winter/spring sport touring suit. Other options I am considering are the Rukka Armas, BMW Streetguard, BMW Atlantis so any comparisons you can make woud be appreciated.

    Specific questions I have are:
    1. Does the 365 Jacket come with elbow, shoulder, back and chest armour?
    2. What is the zipper system on the jacket?
    3. Does the jacket have a full waist zip to attatch to the pants?
    4. What kind of thermal liner does the jacket come with?
    5. How does the suit perform in cold weather?
    6. Given the other suits I am looking at - would you suggest another alpinestars model or is the 365 Alpinestars most protective, warmest, driest suit?

    hello tundra61

well, the first and last point about the 365 jacket and pants is that they have in fact been discontinued. it was out of the price point of most mortals and introduced as the recession slammed the shore of the motorcycle industry and swept away half of the motorcycle shops in the country.

you'll see it on web pages here and there, but i don't think any one has any of it around anywhere.

we managed to sell just a few of units and didn't get too familiar with them.

got the scoop today on some forthcoming items from our favorite maker of sport motorcycle gear, Alpinestars, or as alpeeene-stars, as they say in italy.

the main feature- the alpinestars tech 8 is being re-done and re-released as an all new boot. much lighter in weight and much less concrete feel to them, the boot is more flexible than previous eights and the sole is extra grippy. per astars, the sole of the tech 8 boot is taken from the rubber compound of Pirelli's rally racing tires. cool. this brings this boot more in the range of dual-sport riders than before.

I don't see the Vendramini boots on your site?

Do you know if the fit is close to the Scout boots that I own?

What is your return policy regarding fit?

    Thanks!

Do you know if this version will be made in Italy?

I have a set of 1st generation Tech8 boots. Just had them re-soled by Alpinestars. I bought and returned a new set as IMO they were crap compared to the original Italian made boots. I'd like a new set but only if they have the quality of the originals. I like the Sidi but they don't fit my wide feet.

    Hi Mark-

The new Tech 8, which they're actually calling the "Alpinestars Tech 8 Light" is being made in Croatia, Italy and
    Romania.

One of the main goals Astars has with the new boot is, as you may guess by the name, to make it
as light as possible. In fact, they say it's the lightest weight MX boot on the market in the category.
It's half a lb lighter than the previous and it's also perforated. Astars also claims that its sole has been
tested against Gaerne and SIDI to be the most durable.

Numerous other changes were done to the buckles. Also the inner bootie has been changed out to
be more like an ankle brace, with no toe cover, meaning the boot will fit even better for a wide foot.
right side of boot kickstart protector.

The replaceable kickstart pad is cool too. it's here http://www.motostrano.com/tech8light.html
