Does anybody make anything, sized well for a moto, that actually works well, for less than the cost of one's first-born?

I see amber Cree LED H3 units from Chinese vendors, and I tried amber H3 LEDs that were about as bright as a candle, but I have yet to see anything worthwhile in the US. Does anybody sell bright 10W LED fogs in amber for under $75?

I was going to recommend Rigid Duelly's but then I saw your price point, good luck with that.

All "H" series headlight bulbs in the LED form are useless, they produce very little light. Filtering may not work well because white LEDs don't have the uniform spectral distribution of the incandescent lights.

Ron, I dont think those are rated for "constant on" for extended periods. The flasher module is also inline, which contains the driver for the LEDs as well... and "25 flash patterns" may not include a "constant on" mode.

I dont think anyone has an amber CREE LED in the price range you're looking for.

Thanks for the info Jim...I'm pretty well covered off from the front but I've been wanting some kind of amber light for the rear to put on when travelling thru thick low viz fog for the morons coming up from behind me.

Just to be used under those conditions.

I'm fairly certain that a rearward facing light has to be red, with the obvious exception of turn signals. And even if it isn't law, how do you think a cager will react when they are barreling through the fog and suddenly see an amber light? Red they understand, that says accelerate and swerve. Amber? That would cause all kinds of confusion. And probably with them being fixated on the light... :(

They are as bright as my spts, but with a fog pattern.

They are sold under several sellers on E-bay.
