A lot of stoners wouldn't have thunk. And many people who may be smoking anything for the first time may have no clue. The interwebz is just like the real world, full of drones running around in circles.

anyone who is dumb enough to not understand that smoking from a can is sub optimal, convenience aside, probably doesn't have a whole lot to lose in the brain cell dept.

Browse YouTube for 15 minutes, there's more than enough people out there willing to lose brain cells.

You guys who live where lots of people live might not get this but I have had several shitty experiences with a certain local state trooper who likes to waste my time by trying to convince me to allow him to search my veeehickle. No means no asshole!!!

I can't wait to get pulled over by this guy again... I'm just gonna hold up my baggy and shake it in his face while he's asking for my paperwork. "Yes sir, here is my under an ounce baggy of marijuana officer, would you like to smell how good it is? Don't get any on your fingers cuz its super sticky"

    I'm giddy with excitement! :clap:clap:clap:clap

Ok, after thinking about it I have a better idea. I'm gonna stash little amounts in every compartment my truck has. When he asks for my registration etc. I'll be all like...."hmmmmm where did I put that?" Open glove compartment..."oops, whats this?" Oh its weed. Flip down visor, out pops some more weed, oops. maybe its in the center console, oops no not there, just more weed. Maybe its behind my ear. No, thats a joint!

A true conservative would be pro pot. However, it seems many conservatives seem so eager to inject government into other's lives.

If the Feds don't actually step in and torpedo our new law, when will it actually take effect?
I lost interest in reefer a while ago but just once in my life would like to get high legally.

Be careful, Tom, before you do this. If this guy is as a big a tool as he sounds, make sure every stinkin' thing on your vehicle and other minutia is all legal and proper, or you'll have to have a pizza delivered while he does some kind of roadside "safety" inspection for everything ranging from tire tread depth regulations to a burned out glovebox light.:lol3

It seems that some think the feds have more power than they do. We are still a nation of states.

I recall that issue being addressed with a little dustup during the 1860's but I don't think we've completely resolved it.

It will be prohibitively expensive for the US to do anything, whatsoever, to enforce CO's marijuana laws beyond that which CO law does prohibit possession/distribution.:deal

So, when does the law go into effect? I know I have some old ZigZags around here somewhere and I need to be ready.

As I recall, the gov had to sign it 30 days after the election and the law would then take effect 30 days after that- so Janu 6 or so? :dunno

As a practical matter, very few LEO are enforcing the law as it stands. But, I totally get your point about smoking legally for the first time. :thumb

You are over blowing it. The Feds
Can't make the states make something illegal. The Feds can enforce their laws on state lands. That's about it. An some judge somewhere say "your law conflicts"? Sure. Does it matter? Depends on what the people of that state think and the Feds desire to enforce the conflict. Alabama tomorrow could go right back and kick black kids out of schools and what could the Feds do? Send in the national guard and federal Marshals. If the state doesn't want to play, that's it.

The Feds today know this and instead use money as a method of persuasion. Thus Colorado state is going to at ball with the Feds.

What is hicky boy really saying when he says "how will the Feds enforce this?" He is saying "I hope the Feds don't start taking their money, we really need it."

Obama does not want to alienate hundreds of thousands of voters. More people voted for pot than for him. Did you see that?

I don't nor have I ever used. However I am for the right of the people of these free states to make their own choices. .

I have a professional license that I'd like to keep and almost all jobs in my field require a clean drug test. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

The local hospital recently fired a nurse who worked with FatWife. She had a MM license and failed the drug test. There are federal laws, state laws and work place rules that you have to understand. It is up to you to know their jurisdictions and contradictions because there can still be consequences irrespective of Colorado's vote...
