Was curious as to what are good rides outside of AMsterdam? Have been there on business and always wonder where the NL riders go on their bikes?
I am American, but a good friend is from The Hague.
    Tot Ziens(??) y'all.

Of course most of Holland is flat but not every thing is urban. Out of the big cities your can have nice rides. And, Holland being quite small, Germany (Black forest, Eifel) and Begium (Ardennes) are not too far away either.

Hi all - I'm Canadian and live in Utrecht - been here about a year and a half. I came over for a Dutch guy and brought another one with me as a stowaway - that one's about 15 months old now so I'm wanting to start riding again. I brought my bike over but I need to get her on the road and get my Dutch motorcycle licence (Canadian not transferable) so for now I'm just dreaming as I look out the window on days like today.

I used to live in Holland, but moved 2km across the Belgium border since 2 years :evil
But I still come back to Holland (Eindhoven) every day to earn enough money to keep riding bikes

You can see me riding around daily on one of my bikes:
    BMW 650Xchallenge
Honda Africa Twin (slightly modified, not sure you'll recognise it as such)
    Suzuki DRZ400e

For the GS'ers that are looking for a nice riding weekend, there's a nice international GS long weekend at easter: http://www.bmwgsclub.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28126

Looks like fun, not from Amsterdam but my bud and I will be in Amsterdam on 19 May this year; we'll be taking the ferry from Newcastle over. This will be the tail end of our trip as we head back to Stuttgart, Germany. Recommendations for places to stay? We are camping for the most part.:evil

    I'm from Bleiswijk near Rotterdam.
I've lived for 35 years in Rotterdam and was born there.
Just new to this forum but reading a long time the stories before.
I have been a iron butt member since 2003 and ride often in the Belgium ardennes and German eifel.
This year in july we are going through Germany, Austria, Switserland, France and Belgium and our turnig point will be the Stelvio in Italy.

If you want to camp, there is a camping at Zeeburg, at walking distance from a tram to the city centre. Or there are cheap hostels available.

I'm in Castricum close to the beach.
But probably ship my Super Tenere to Canada this summer, Dutch-Canadian resident.

I usually take my bike out on the beach, since there's lots of it, or do roadbook rally's, which can be up to 70% off road, new roadconstruction sites, and new development areas on weekends.
To bad haven't been able to figure out how to post pictures, i have some real great ones, hopefully coming up soon.
Oh yeah you're from Texas? i used to be in Laredo a lot, to pick up Freightliners for Canadian dealerships, some real friendly people out there!!
